  2. couldn't have said it better myself.....
  3. make sure u go up and down evenly inside the cylinders. holding in one place for too long of time may put grooves in the cylinder. when yer finished it should have a smooth feeling but somewhat of a rough appearance, this inturn helps the rings seat better and seal correctly with less chance of burring along ports hope this helps Matt
  4. ya that must be it, when i check it again ill check the motor mounts and make sure theyre tight its mainly at idle so thats gotta be it thanks guys Matt
  5. hey guys on my christmas break i got my noss head and after i put it on and everything, i started it up and it looks like the engine in my shee vibrates more, i dont think its enough to do any damage but i wanna make sure does anyone know what could be causing this the only thing i can thinkof would bge an unbalanced crank but it just started doing this after my head mods plz help thanks Matt

  10. well my mods are in my sig... i got my noss head on and everything checks out im looking into a tors eliminator kit, a timing advancement and the idle kit is the timing advancement a big deal with aftermarket pipes and head??? is running my shee without the timing advanced gonna hurt it any? any info is great thanks guys Matt
  11. ya mine had the same problem, except it leaked a lot all i did was have it running and me and my dad tightened them up and kept checking for leaks eventually it quit gonna check it again when i get home from school and start it up and see, i may have to use some silicone or some kind of sealant Matt
  12. i was runnin my shee today and i noticed the right cylinder was not firing very well at idle.. when i revved it up.. it would run normally.. so my question is ...... is this a pilot jet problem?? thats what some ppl have been tellin me also can having a noss head and a pipe kit without having the timing advanced cause engine problems?? thanks again Matt
  13. an air leak may be the source or the wild idling spray some carb cleaner around the intake boots to see if there is a leak hope this helps Matt
  14. speak of the devil... today i just got done rebuilding my top end and put my noss head on. everything runs ok and there was some coolant leaking from the entry and exit valves in head, all i had to do was tighten the allen screws in there and everything is fine, but i have the exact problem SSS... my right cylinder at idle to say about 1/8th throttle... my left is smoking and running fine but my right doesnt smoke at all until i give it throttle.. it just feels like its blowing cold air im gonna take my carb apart when i have time and look for any sign of the pilot being plugged also.. one more thing, someone said that i could just inactivate the tors by unplugging the black box under the gas tank..... but i think somewhere along the way i have to splice some wires... what do i do?? thanks again Matt
  15. 6000 cad for shee probly 2000 in mods as of now this is an expensive hobby but well worth it!!!!
  16. yup, yesterday i checked the bowl and the main and their fine, how do u get the pilot out? do i need a small screwdriver or special tool?? all i have to do to disable the tors is unplug that box?? i thought i had to splice some wires or something also.... thanks again for the responses guys Matt
  17. ya i think so too im gonna do a comp test when i get a new tester but for right now im gonna leave it and see what happens when i put my noss head on and jet it correctly thanks guys Matt
  18. just wondering where a good place to start would be first off.. im running tr6 pipes with the stock air box i mostly ride anywhere from 500 to 900 ft i will be adding a noss head just after christmas and id like some idea on where to start my pilot, main and even needle settings right now i have my stock pilot jet, 280 mains and the clip on 4th groove (i think) it runs alright but i have absolutley no power down low i just want to keep it set for summer time riding and running in temps generally around 80 degrees F any help would be awesome thanks HQ Matt
  19. if they are hung up, what can i do to fix it??
  20. how can u tell the top from the bottom of the reeds?? im positive the rings didnt get hung up, they both run fine, its just when i give it throttle im still using the stock pilot jet so i think i need to bump up to a 30 and that may help a bit but i still wanna get rid of that stupid tors any more ideas would be greatly appreciated Matt
  21. nope, stock reeds i noticed one edge of them have 2 little marks on them is there a top and bottom to reeds???
  22. today i just got done breakin in my new top end everything runs great and i noticed that when my shee runs the left cylinder makes a nice popping sound (toomeys) and the right one doesnt, it seems like the right cylinder isnt even firing at all, theres spark, the carbs are set the exact same, same jets, the carb balance tube and everything are on.. also when i just give it a little gas it starts to die, i think its because of the tors or too small of pilot jets but im not sure i want to disconnect the tors but im unsure how any help would be greatly appreciated Thanks again to the hq for lots of useful info Matt
