  1. has any one tried the krylon xMETALS paint on any metal parts. i saw it in the store yesterday, and thay have some bad ass colors, let me know thanks
  2. i would say mig weld it. easier to weld with, and i think some one told me it is a stronger weld. that or have it tig welded, i know that one is the strongest weld.
  3. ok, thats what i thought. that was on of the best mods i did because i never missed a gear since i did it. i had all 6 done. any way best of luck to you on it.
  4. what do you mean by back cutting the gears i have had trans work dont to mine where on the gears there are 6 spots where the gear locks in i had three cut out so i dont miss any gears. if that is what you are talking about i have had no problems with it, and never missed a gear yet.
  5. are you still doing the kickstarter fix for free? if not how much to have it fixed?
  6. how is the weather where every one is?? here in MI it is about 50 out and sunny! that is pretty shitty because sunday it was a whoping 87 . last night it got down to 32 . wtf only in MI can you run the heater and ac in the same day!
  7. no way, i used this name for about 5 years on different sites, and jeffro was my nickname as a younger kid.
  8. my women loves the dunes! she is thinking of buying a banshee sometime this summer to go to the dunes . she even wants one all piped and stuff like that. i think i have a keeper!!
  9. forgot example. if you had a 15/40 setup the ratio would be 2.67:1, but if you had a 14/40 it would be 2.86:1. but if you had a 15/43 the ratio would be 2.87:1. so changing 1 tooth in front = 2-3 in rear.
  10. increasing the front 1 tooth = decreasing the rear 2-3 teeth. decreasing the front 1 tooth = increasing the rear 2-3 teeth. i dont think it would be hard on the trans, but i would try decreasing the front one tooth, or increasing the rear sprocket 2-3 teeth.
  11. did you gap the pickup coil?? if it is too far away it may not spark.
  12. what about us broke ass college students that can barely afford to pay for schooling!! i love my banshee and this site, but i prefer to have it free. everthing else in life you have to pay for, so we deserve to have this for free. as for the snot nosed 14 year old kids, we can just ignore them, and their stupidity. i think this site should be free!!
  13. im sure you can, but i changed all six. made a really stiff clutch lever.
  14. that is way too thick of and oil to run in the trans, i would go down to a SAE 30 weight. i use the best, Valvoline
  15. mine did something similar. the idler gear, between the kick starter and the clutch gear, wore out the bushing, and it had enough play, that it would cock alittle, and bind everthing up. look into that also.
  16. Im board, so i figured i would share a little tip i learned about 2 years ago. when i put a new clutch in my shee i decided i wanted stronger springs. so i asked be friend, who has been into banshees since they came out, what i should do. i was on a limited budget, so he told me to put in yz429 springs. i did thins when i had my stock clutch, and it slipped at the time. instantly i got one more season on the clutch before i put in my moose racing clutch. the only down side is that it is hard to clutch while trail riding(thats why i never use it except to take off). has any one else tried this, and also just wondered what other people use??
  17. you pussy you just need to get used to it. i have had mine for 2 years and do riring like that with out any problem!!
  18. no one cares about this stupid topic kid. j/k
  19. i had a problem with my 35mm carbs and a twist throttle, i had to have a custom cable made by motion pro. just tell them the carbs, and the twist set up you have and the will make it. but that is only if you have that problem.
  20. sounds like he has a blown out seal in the master cyclinder, and the fluid is leaking right past it. when the bleeder screw is opened it isnt creating enough pressure ti bleed past the seals, so the fluid is going to flow out of the bleeder. like h300f said you probaly grabbed the lever in panic and ruined the seals. i dont think it would be a caliper seal, because you would see a leak down at the caliper. either that or you aren't bleeding the brakes properly. but air doesnt just get into the lines with out a leak. just my 2 cents
  21. never had the problem before, but it sounds like your crank seals are junk
  22. mine was the same way, i had to file mine down also. fit perfectly now
  23. does any one else have the problem of their quad eating up chain rollers? i go through about 2 sets a season, and i dont really ride that much. any suggestions or comments welcome!!
  24. damn for that price you can put clampons on it. but then you cant go through mud!
  25. i have never had a problem with ripped boots or carbs poping out and i ran mine for 2 years so far
