  1. BRB...i gotta go take a Lee!
  2. I'm getting "#12290" tattooed on my member. -On 2nd thought...any of you 2 digit guys wanna trade member #'s? I'm having fit issues.
  3. Hahaha...lee's the codename for pee!
  4. Might wanna put this in the FOR SALE forum. Just a thought.
  5. 12773? Wasn't that the dawn of the Turbo Festiva days?
  6. A couple gif's and I don't even notice. But you put 8 up there on your sig and I definately notice a decrease in performance.
  7. It only took this place 12,290 members before they got it right!
  8. That's great that you loved em and everything but you were over-paddled w/ your 9 paddles. Banshee's like to spin their wheels, and not lug like a 4 stroke. 8 paddle is the way to go usually on a stock stroke/non-big bore machine - unless you've got some very gnarly drag porting anyway. For the extremes, they're about the same as adding another paddle conversion-wise. So a 9 paddle extreme would be even worse for your bike. Or you could be just like almost every other rider out there and keep over-paddling.
  9. Only mods can move a thread. Nobody ever listens to me on this but drill a 3/8" hole just towards the rear of where the current oil return hole is on the clutch side. If you notice the current hole goes right into the drain plug and seriously limits flow. In addition to that...new billet impeller, new clutch/springs, etc etc...
  10. I ran that same key for 2 years w/out a problem. Others that ran keys had them shear - some leading to further engine damage. Considering you can get a plate from ricky stator for $35, I think its worth going that route just for the peace of mind. I swapped over to the RS timing plate when I changed my stator just for that reason.
  11. Nope, no pics. I just kinda eyeballed everything. Used some reed spacers as a template. Cut the manifold pieces out of 1/4" aluminum, then used some 1 1/2" aluminum tube for the Y. I made the cuts at a 45* angle, lined those up on the manifold pieces w/ them bolted to the cyls, then tacked those on. Next I welded em off the bike and used a cutoff wheel to cut the hole where the tube leading to the carb would go. There's terms for all the different parts but I'm too lazy to look em up. Then welded up the short piece for the carb and attached the carb w/ a small piece of silicone hose.
  12. Hehe...something tells me you might have a hard time making that thing work. The banshee has an AC electrical system. You can convert it over to dc tho...
  13. Damn...u mean I gotta change my avatar again??? C'mon, she's a classic! I haven't had 1 complaint (unlike my last avatar).
  14. I'm running a graydon style intake on my stroker. Its actually one I made myself. The longer chamber of the graydon style should give more top end then the trinity. Personally I've never tried the trinity. Anyway the intake is good. I'm running a single 35 w/ it on a fairly built engine. If you do a search for single carbs you'll see MANY posts saying how much I and several others like singles.
  15. Sold G! Wife gave me the okay (yay)!
  16. Hey don't bash the guy for asking a reasonable question. Alot of folks that are new to 2 strokes don't even realize the fuel/oil mixture goes into the crankcase.
  17. Yeah its drop in w/ the 795 pistons. The piston pin is located deeper in the 795 piston to accomodate the longer rods. If you don't use the 795's you have to bore it out and run blaster pistons.
  18. No you won't. Longrods just increase the reliability of the engine by decreasing the angle of the stroke thereby decreasing the side pressures on the piston skirts. You won't gain a lick of power from the mod if that's what you're thinking. Most guys looking for power go w/ a longrod stroker. The added stroke is what gives you more power.
  19. IMO vitos stuff is okay at best.
  20. Is there anything wrong w/ the current bore? If not, don't bother. Gains are boring are well...boring. Mainly you just decrease the life of your cylinders.
  21. I agree. Same thing happened to me and it was that locknut. If it didn't get chewed up you can save urself from having to replace the new fluids by laying the bike on its left side.
  22. Somebody's been hittin the hooch early!
  23. Clean the carbs and put new gas in. Problem solved.
  24. Wow...alot of us are wasting a ton of time cleaning our filters after every weekend of riding.
  25. On long weekends I like to use nylons (you know the kind chicks wear on their legs). They're about $2 and you get 2. Just cut em around the calf area, slip them over the foam filter, and hold em in place w/ a rubber band. They'll catch most of the big stuff so at the end of everyday just swap em out for a new one. Wicked are you saying you ran the whole season w/out cleaning your air filter???
