This weekend I might go up to Oklahoma, I got a friend that lives 8 miles north of Tallegia (however it's spelled) it's North of Broken Bow. We ride old county road that have been converted to jeep trails by mother nature.. Wicked ass mountains..

I have been running bumper-less, I like the look but the 'shee needs something..I saw this tonight. I have been on HQ for howlong ? :Wow 1 year now. I have read enough to know that more than a handful of ya'l could possible do a custom version. I have nothing but a small dremel , sawsAll , torch ,arc welder and hacksaw. The dremel has potential, but all other are pointless to me for this kind of handy work. This quard looks fairly simple, I am thinking thin piece of that shiney stuff with team logo or something cut .. What ya think? pm me some quotes!

Look around the neighborhood for kiddo's sandboxes, I find that if they are strategically placed they will cure your addiction. If the sand boxes are scarce, or the lil tikes don't like to share, you can always hit the local golf course up. Hell you shouldn't have to pay those "green fees" you'll just really be playin in the sand. Damn I just hit a sour note. There has been a local riding area near Lake Lavon for over 25 yrs. F^%kin pencil neck pricks decided to build houses around the 10 acre property that was CORP land. The bastards that bought the house started complaining of noise. Now those pricks have a golf course going in.. Can you geuss where I'll be playin at 3am ?

Winding Stair National Recreation Area If you like mtns. this place should be good. I have a friend who lives a few mile west of this place. Although I have never riden @ the Winding Stair National Recreation Area I have riden the old jeep trails over near my friends place. The Winding Stair Mountains range from 600' at the bottom up to 1600'. The Banshee loves blastin up the 800' climbs.

anyone wanna ride anywhere tomorrow? I was thinkin Red River. Check here... Good trails, mx Track and freestlye ramps. And of course the River when she's low enough.. If not tomorrow maybe we all could hook up another time somewhere?

If you have a generator you can get a hed trimmer they work on briers and the sticky stuff. Chainsaw for the trees.. Make sure and get below at the roots with a shovel. If you really wanna get all redneck and all... Take a puch mower. cut the front part of the deck off between the front wheels, this will allow the push mower to mow brush. ( kinda like DR ) Get really crazy and mount a looooong tongue to the front of this push mower and pull it with a utility quad. Hell after that you can even add other mowers to give a wider cut. There might be a way to mount toward the front of a quad that would be even better!

There was a 'shee for like 900 bucks up at lil sahara labor day weekend. It need some cosmetics and the guy said a top end. It had pipes and aftermarket head on it and Lord knows what else. He was in the North campground.. And no I didnt get his number. Damn it!

Yep! yep! it's all a clutch thingy. I ride my T-5's just about every where. They like the dunes the best. A little clutch action and I rip up any trail the 'shee feel a liking to.

If your carbs are still stock and have the TORS (the big ugly thing on top) your idle adjustment is on top. Take your seat off and there should be 1 dime size slotted screw on top of each carb, but there more involved than just idle setting. Make sure the cables have no slack and that the carbs are in sync! Buy a Clymer Repair manual it tells all the secrets. Now if you don't have the TORS anymore then the carbs probably have been drilled then tapped on the outersides of the carbs. Make sure it's not the idle jet that you are adjusting. They are usually brass looking and can be counter sunkin. Get a Clymer Manual...

I have checked my temp at the exhuast flange before with one of the heat laser guns thingies. The temp for both pipes were with 2 degrees. That seemed close to me. The other way would be alot more accurate I think!

cool. He's never really quoted me a price, but he's been reasonable on my other stuff. He's like $35 a hole for a bore. What ya'll pay for port-work? Hell while I am talking Dale.. He drills and taps temperature sensors in each of the exhuast pipes to tune the jetski motors. I believe this is a way for him to jet it and to adjust the pipes, I am not really sure. Have you ever tried setting up a 'shee by temperature of the exhaust? Just wondering sounds like a perfect way to jet to me.

Ok I am getting ready for a tear down. I am gonna finally put my prodesign head on. While I am in there I am gonna check my pistons and cylinders, as of right now I haven't had any problems with her. It's a 98 and has never been torn down (just amazing). I prob. get new pistons and might even get some hot rods. My question is about porting. I have no clue. However a buddy owns a Jetski shop Dale's. He does all my machine work and has always wanted me to get some porting. He knows 2 Strokes wether it be water or air cooled and he likes HP's. I just don't think he's ever port a Banshee. Is the porting tech. pretty much the same as with other 2 strokes? He says he's got a book with a bunch of numbers in it, that he read over and over years ago. He taught him self on the old 440 jetskis. I just dont wanna do multiple tear downs to get it right. Should I send it off to be port or what? Hell I am not even sure if I need her ported. After a fresh topend 'shee'll probaly be plenty for me.

Hopefully the weather gods will be as nice as they were LaborDay weekend. If so ya'll gonna have a kick ass time. I got up there about 4 am saturday, unloaded, throw on a sweatshirt and my riding pants and from the south camp took the long way to ButterCup (there's nothing like the early morning powder). It got alittle windy causing the sand to sting at time but no biggy. It did get rather warm by late afternoon, but the clouds would hide the sun at times and it would cool for short times. Hell I would look across the dunes look for the shady spot and go ride that dune until it got warm. Had about 3 minutes worth of sprinkles Sunday afternoon wasn't even enough to kill the dust. The South Camp filled up pretty good this weekend. I took a ride to the North Camp Saturday afternoon and it was 3/4 I suppose. The camp cleared out early Monday. It was like the reverse effect of "flies on shit". anyhow....... Good Luck to all SANDFEST'ers!! Be Safe

I don't think sweetshee4312 is bluffing, I saw the crab fishing thing on Discover or the Learning channel most Extreme Jobs. Those guys were getting lots of money.(like 50k a month maybe) I think like 25% of the people die while out on the crab hunts. It get so cold out there, I remember see their ships being covered in ice, frost bite sets in on the brain it wasn't good.
