I was warmin the SHee up on the side my yard next to the road one time and i turned around on the road because there is a fence the other way for my field. A cop pulled me over right there god damnit. He could have got me for a whole lotta stuff but all i got was not wearing a helmet ticket. Luckily the cop rode quads too and he just told me hes just looking out for my safety and junk. So i got wicked lucky that night. a lot of cops around here are cool but there are also a lotta dickheads. Around here though its not even the cops that really annoy me its the dickhead DEC officers who think they are gods or something. Also state rangers can be bitches too. I got pulled over by all three at different times, and if it ever happened again id want to get pulled over by a cop.

Cant you guys see, there is no point in bashing YFZ450s or Banshees, they are both Yamahas and they both haul ass, they may be different but they both rock. What we really should be doing is bashing polaris, honda and Suzuki/kawi. Those YFZs are very fast for stock. I raced against one in an mx race and of course got beat but i bet they would still beat me in a drag depending if i go through the gears right or not. I have yet to ride one but i really would like too. I've ridden a predator and that is pretty fast and is close to my Banshee. But they are poorly engineered and i would never buy one.

One mx race i raced in i beat everyone off the line except a YFZ, i was right on his ass though and i probably woulda handed it to him if i could hook up. This was back a while ago and all i had was pipes k&n filter power reeds and a new clutch.

I just orderd some lonestar +2+1 v-arms/a-arms. I know it put a hole in my bank but damn im excited. I know all you guys who have this set up with +2+1 love it so im sure i will be happy also. Any input would be great as to what i can expect. I guess all i have to worry about now is staying away from tight spaces like trees i usually barely make it through . Oh yea plus i probably dont wantmy mom to see the receipt because she wants me to save money for books BRAAAAP

Bdbanshee if it aint too much trouble, would you mind posting a picture?? I've seen other aftermarket j-arms and v-arms but havent seen d-arms on a banshee yet.

I notice a lot of people are either going up or down from 14. is 14 teeth stock for front sprockets on newer banshees. Mine came stock with a 13 front on it, its got a 43 rear sprocket also. Just curious.

My friend had an 800 XC sp. He had it for like a month and the crank seal blew, that lead to it running lean and the piston was all scortched. He replaced the pistons in it then took it around for like 2 laps and blew the same one again. On top of this he just had the cylinders replated and had to have it welded to repair a big gash. He spent about 800 bucks and it got him nowheres. Now thats bad luck.

Are there any performance shops out there that sells aftermarket J-arms. I bent an other one and want to get some wider stronger j-arms. I have thought of converting it but i would need new pipes because the ones on mine are old school bills and i dont want to buy new ones. Any suggestions would be great thanks!!

I use to run bel ray MC1 but i cant get that local so i get Amsoil 2000 series or what ever it is. The smell of it is great and it doesnt smoke bad.

You kinda sound like me. you cant figure out what you want to get. Just think about what you spend most your time on though. I have thought about selling my other toys and getting a crotch rocket myself, but i dont think i would do nearly as much riding on that. So im sticking to quads. I would just mod the hell out of the banshee but thats just me, do what ever is gonna make you more happy.

I'm lookin into getting some new front suspension. So far i have looked at atvfourplay.com lsracing.com and dentonracing.com. Does anyone know where i might be able to find some aftermarket J-arms? I dont really want to blow all my money on a-arms so im lookin for the best deal i can. Thanks!!

Mine has been down quite a bit, but mainly its because ive been putting more stuff on it. Plus its an 87 and i've had to replace tons of original equipment that has worn out. Now its down because i bent the stupid ass J-arm and hurt my knee the other day from flippin doing a wheelie.

I'd get some twin 34 mm flatslides

I would definitely get a pipe, air filter, and maybe some head/cam work done to it. If you get any of that done i would definitely gear it up one front sprocket size. The ex should have enough torque to pull through the gears even with a stock engine so go ahead and try it. It will pull longer through the gears and go quite a bit faster.

I have a 2000 polaris trailblazers which my sister rides. Im trying to replace the bearings but cant get the axle locknut off. Does anyone here know anything about polaris quads? I'd appreciate any advice.
