  1. Thanks for the help guys. That's exactly what I wanted to know Dunedemon! I didn't really want to deal with a "middle-man", especially if Todd is cool to talk to. Thanks...I guess I'll just be calling him.
  2. Hey guys, I've been trying to find info. about rear shock rebuilds for a while....and finally decided to go with TCS. It seems there are quite a few people here that have nothing but good things to say about them. Eventually I plan on getting A-arms and also plan on going through TCS for their front shocks. But I wanted to know if they have their own website or an e-mail address? This CT Racing is the only info I can find on them but I didn't want to go through CT to get their shocks. I already have their number from another thread I was reading(Todd @ (909) 245-7484 right?). I don't really want to make a long distance call to ask about something I can find out myself. I was just wondering if you guys(previous customers) just gave them a call and just went from there or what? Should I just stop being a cheap ass and give them a call? Thanks for any help, Josh
  3. I ordered mine from Rocky Mountain, too. This was a little over a month ago. They told me it'd be 3 weeks to get them in and 3-5 business days to ship. They were almost right on the dot for time. Well worth the wait!! Definately some bad ass tires. I've ordered all of my wheels from Rocky Mountain.
  4. I wouldn't mind seeing some pics either......I have a hell of a time throwing my ass around the seat when racing. I've seen some pics before, but that was a while ago.
  5. I also bite my nails, almost 'til there gone, and when I cant chew any more off, I start chewing the skin....sometimes until it bleeds.
  6. Hey cotton eyed joe, Do you have a pretty big shop set up and everything? How big is it? Aren't you pretty young? I have really been playing with this idea, but i don't know what type of schooling is necessary. I'm 18, and I have been debating on whether to major in mechanical engineering or business(and owning some-type of dealership/parts dealer).
  7. I honestly hate the look of the Preditor. The plastic's lines go just about every direction posibble. If you look at the quad sideways. the front fenders point straight down and the back plastics don't . I do agree that the earnhardt edition(colors) looks much better than the stock grey, I hate that grey with a passion for some reason. My vote: YFZ450 Banshee 250 R
  8. i just bought a brand new Thor Force off of ebay. $85.00 shipped to my door. To me they look the coolest. I just wanted something simple, that wouldn't get in the way, and to help a little bit. Gotta love ebay!
  9. I really like the feel of the OURY ATV grips, with the "waffle" design. They're always tacky, and very comfortable. They're around $10.00 too.
  10. I've got a question about grease zerks myself. I just bought a brand new, fairly nice, grease gun from the local hardware store and the only two grease zerks I've tried using it on, ended up ripping completely out of the a-arms, and I had to buy two new zerks. I was wondering if there was a certain gun I needed to buy, I was told that it should work, but obviously it's not. The gun is almost too tight around the zerks and pulls them right out, no matter which angle you pull back off of. Did I just buy a shitty gun or what?? thanks
  11. My flywheel looks about the same right now, and shee's only 4 years old! I didn't know any good way of cleaning it either, you have to have a flywheel puller to take it off don't you?!?(don't have one of those either)
  12. Hey Dirtbikekiller, did you buy the Graydon manifold direct from Graydon? I heard they help keep your top end a little bit more than the Trinity. Did you buy it as a kit or just the intake? Thanks, Josh
  13. Those are bad ass!! Wish I had the money......
  14. I've had mine for about 6 months now without any problems. I love mine, and i've never had problems with actual clutches burning up. But my clutch is completely stock, so I don't know if stiffer springs make any difference or not. Hope you find your problem.
  15. I've got a Nokia 8390. I actually bought it used a while ago, it hasn't quit on me yet. It's small, and pretty sweet lookin, battery life is almost unreal. The ringer I have in on now isn't the loudest I've heard. I can't hear it over "the system" in the truck, but I'm not too sure on how many other cells I would be able to hear. I personally like mine though.
  16. Hey NYUK, what happened between you and Paypal? How'd they take your money? I'm wondering myself because I usually prefer Paypal when it comes to ebay, it just seems easiest to me. josh
  17. That's a Raptor, but it's still crazy lookin'!!!
  18. Did anybody else notice that this "92 banshee" has a J-arm frame?!?! For some reason I've always thought 92's had A-arms?? LoL, I found out how it does 120, he reduced the overall weight of the quad by taken the right overflow tube off!!! I envy this guy
  19. I used to own both quads, well my Scrambler was a 500 4x4. I had a Blaster at the time before the shee, and I honestly felt like the Blaster was faster than the Scrambler, they're definately not built for speed, maybe it was just the two-stroke fumes I was breathing in. They're a good quad to beat the crap out of, they don't fall apart! Good luck putting him in his place.
  20. Invest some money into a Magura Hydraulic Clutch. They're pricey, but you'll never regret it. And you have no worries about any type of cable getting bound or full of dirt(no adjusting either). I've seen them on ebay every now and then. You just have to be careful of melting the hose, but you can also spend a little more money and get a stainless steel hose. I went through two aftermarket perches before I saw these.
  21. I totally agree with what BansheeRider576. But I still don't understand why everybody says they're fast. When I say fast, I'm talking about speed(top end). I will definately agree that they are amzingly QUICK!!! But, in my experience with them, on ice, wasn't very good. It was a staight 400 ft. drag on a frozen lake(a radar run), I had just happened to be running like crap at the time(backfiring), but I ended the day in the low 70's. I had about 700 screws in a pair of Spider Tracs, now there were two very sweet looking yfz450's up there, also, one with just a pipe, and one with a cam and pipe. I talked to both owners, both grown men about 200-250 lbs., one had over 1000's screws, and the other 800. I weigh about 185-190 lbs with everything mod in my sig, other than Noss head and swingarm, NIETHER of them topped out over 60 mph!! There were 400ex's(I hate ex's) getting the same mph as them. To me it didn't make sense, and I completely understand that they're not top end bikes and totally dominate the tracks(I want one), but after seeing them on the ice, it made think twice about how FAST they really were. Please don't get offended by anything I'm saying here, just what I personally thought about it. Josh
  22. I'm looking for a 2 into 1 carb and intake set-up. I don't really mind if it's Trinity or Graydon Proline. And also a 33mm Keihn carb. Let me know what you have. Thanks, Josh
  23. I was wondering if there was a noticeable difference between a 33mm Keihin and a 35mm keihin? Do you run the bigger carbs with more mods? And would a 33mm be a better choice with just pipes, head and filter?
  24. MAN! $5500?!? I really wish I had that for my shee. I'm going to have to disagree with you, Wallrat. I would spend most of it on Engine and Suspension. I can't imagine paying $3000 for a badass paintjob and roll it 1 week later. It would take a really big biff to mess up your suspension and engine mods. I'd start with the front end and go from there, all depending on the riding you do. Just my $.02 Josh
  25. I don't think it's the slides. I've been staring at those damn things for hours trying to think of what's not right. The cut out is facing the airbox(like it should, right?!?), and when I pull the throttle, both slides move like they always have and I can't find any spot where they hang up. One thing I haven't tried yet is adjusting the throttle cable AT THE LEVER!!! I can't believe I didn't even think about adjusting with the actual cable at the handlebars. I was reading old forums and came across Banchetta telling somebody to try it and that he did it himself. Thanks for all of your help guys, I really appreciate it, I don't have anybody locally that know jackSh*t about Banshee or jetting banshees. Josh
