  1. i don't remember individual posts off hand, but I will say that what you quoted IS the tructh. We appreciate you bringing this up and acknowledging things and hopefully we can make this place what it should be. Scott
  2. Powervalves would work great with the 34mm carbs also. The larger carbs will give you crazy top end, and the powervalves will give you great low end torque for a very smooth and powerful powerband. Expensive but worth the coin in my opinion.
  3. Sweet girl, I'm with you. Loco - quit giving a shit what people say and think. I know you don't care, but obviously your letting it get to you if your starting this thread. If they don't like something, ignore them, ban them or tell them to hit the "Home" button on their browser and don't come back. Everyone else - lets start actually using the BHQ for what it is. This place becomes more of a soap opera every day and less of a Banshee-stricly site. This is not pointed at Loco, but it seems that there are more and more whiners, arguers, bitchers and just plain immaturity every day. I make at least one post a day playing babysitter and it's getting old. I used to average 30 posts a day, now I average 10 or 12 posts a week. I come on take a couple quick peeks at the Repairs and Jetting forums and leave. Also, where's all the old peeps, they do not come around and we wonder why. The new guys here don't even know what the BHQ was when it was a great group of guys, so the bad part is, they don't even know what the BHQ really is about.
  4. Oh geez... they're pulling out all the stops now... Haha, yea, it'd be nice to go ride. Need to, it's been a little while. After today's showers, it should be pretty fun and cool hopefully.
  5. I have an 01 shee that's modded enough to woop some ass, that is if you are looking to get rid of the yfz... or do I have that backwards.
  6. Rod, did you hear something?? Good luck with the new house and new job. Hope the kiddie is doing well also. Scott
  7. That's funny. I went to Houston last week to meet with my new material supplier. They do things differently and they're buildings go up differently, so me and my foreman went down last week to meet up with them and go over everything in preparation of this building. I was telling everyone I was going to "Erection School". My wife asked me if I passed...
  8. Run a plug check and read my Jetting Troubleshooting at the top of this forum.
  9. no worries fro... gotta take care a bidness...
  10. thanks man.
  11. Hell yea guys. I'm 28 today. My big birthday dinner..... Pizza Hut, well it will be in a few anyway. I've been working my ass off. My foreman has been tied up at another job and a new customer is dying to get their building erected, so I've been operating the SkyTrak for the last 3 days erecting this building. No worries, but it's hotter than a mother. 12 hours in today and just got home. I'm gonna hit up Pizza Hut, come home and have a few margaritas, with some tequila shots in between, beat on the old lady and go to bed to get up at 5:30 to do it all over again. Thanks for all the attention!!
  12. You damn sure got that right. Thanks for happy b-days guys.... I've been working on a Sky Trak for 12 hours and have sweated my entire balls off... anywyas... thanks guys, do appreciate it. now... let me go find that other thread.
  13. Check your CROSSOVER TUBE. Just went through the same exact problem. Evean same thread title.
  14. What's a Clymers?
  15. I agree with putting the crossover tube back in and see if that fixes it. I've had some bad issues recently with not having the two sides equalized and it caused me much unneeded stress. As rebel said, 1mm = 1 degree. So 3/16 would be roughly 5 degrees. That should be fine, I ran mine at +7.
  16. I used to run a Trinity 2:1 setup. It has a crossover tube milled into the billet intake internally. I sold the Trinity stuff and got a Graydon intake and a new 35mm airstryker. Well, damn thing wouldn't run, kept dying out on the left side. No electrical issues, no carb issues, no cylinder issues. Turns out, the bike wouldn't run on the left because the intake has no equalizer, no crossover tube or anything. So, the vacuum from the right cylinder was stealing from the left and the left wouldn't run for shiz. Took the Graydon off and put the stockers back on (with xover ) and it ran absolutely perfect. So, I'm getting a crossover tube tig welded into the Graydon intake as we speak. Scott
  17. i just don't understand why anyone gives a f*ck what he has, if he has them or what he's paying on. do you guys realize that if you'd quite posting and replying and bitchfighting, this thread would GO AWAY!!
  18. no keep it. you need it to equalize the intake pressures. boost bottles do nothing more than a stock crossover tube will, that's what they're talking about, but YES, you need your xover tube.
  19. i would definitely NOT go any bigger, if so, it'll create a lull and vacuum issues in the lower rpms. 38mm is plenty as most use a 35mm. That's whats on mine with ported cylinders. You should be alright with decent portwork and the 38, but I wouldn't go bigger.
  20. Is the rad gurgling? If you turn it off quick when it's spitting, I'm wondering if it's gurgling and overheating or if it's just too full. There's a line on the coolant overflow and it should be filled to that. Also check that the bottle is connected to the rad. It might be there but not be connected so instead of it going to the bottle, it's spitting on the pipes and stuff.
  21. you might try the posting pics FAQ in the Image section and you might try posting this in the Website Issues forum for a more proper response. Chances are, if the type is correct, it's probably a size issue.
  22. I have the new dirtwheels, but haven't read the specs on the new yfz. I did see the Raptor 700 EFI on the cover tho.
  23. then Rockets would work really well for you. CPI's would also work well, as well as Shearers. I'm really not too sure how the 2into1 38mm would work with drag pipes, but those pipes will fit what your looking for. If you want to ride and race but still have really good rideability, Toomey T5's are also very good pipes and might work better with your single carb setup.
  24. agreed. and since i have the info, I'll go ahead and say that yes, they'll work, yes, it's done all the time and yes, I know of someone who's done it... look around for stclark.
