  11. I was going to post on this, but i think oldturtle, pretty much summed it up.. and for those guys that didnt think a 6 had enough hp, and got "board"..... your ADD is worse then mine.. cause unless your name happens to be Bostrom...Gobert... Mladin.. Duhamel..., i doubt your even using half of what the bike has to offer. not a :flame: ing post......so please dont take it the wrong way.... oh and Josh I'd stay away from the Duc's as your first bike, untill your able to afford the upkeep on 'em ...service intervals are every 6k miles..and range anywhere from 300 and up per visit. They're a GREAT bike, don't get me wrong, just not a great first bike...
  12. I've seen the "scotts style" Ohlins Damper, but just never here in the US.. Ohlins go to the bottom of the page...the one i have is just to the left < of the scotts style damper..
  13. I dont know from personal experience, but i know a guy in town that uses Polaris' for his ATV adventure/tour business.... He says the older bikes(trades 'em in after a year) were always down for repairs, but the newer ones are't all that bad..

    Tail Light

get yourself a stock tail light assembly and replace the blub w/ a blue one, and the red reflector w/ a clear cover....I'm sure you can get most of that stuff at AutoZone...
  16. I need a tube of high temp silicone...Can i just get it at an auto parts store?
  17. Thanks guys.... I fired her up right after reading CEJ's post saying it was ok...I put in a set of ear plugs and fired 'er up....man i love the sound of a piped shee!!! now to get the silencers..and do some final adjustments..and i'll be good togo!! footnote: open the garage door stupid...exhaust fumes arn't very frendly..
  18. IS that a cooler too, or just a temp gauge?
  19. If i try and start the banshee w/ out the silencers on..and let it run for a minute or 2....will i cause any damage to the motor(or anything else)? If your asking why would i want to do that.....because i just put my new heads pipes on, and dont have the silencers yet...and just wanted to kick it over....
  20. seriously..did you just post that so u could use the new flame thrower smiley??!!!... are those really 30 mill nuts???
  21. evil- i'll get some pics soon. turtle- I remember reading something about Ohlins owning scott (and Yamaha have some kind of ownership in Ohlins), but that was ages ago, and i cant remember the details..... but the Scotts and Ohlins are 2 totally diff dampers...at least in this country. I 've seen on Ohlins that looks like a scott, but it was sold over seas somewhere... if nothing else, i have some tie wire in my tool box...
  22. You take drugs, Danny? Every day. Then what's your problem?......hahaha Yep, that's definitely a must have on DVD.....
  23. I just had mine off the other day (for the same reason)...both side are regular(lefty loosey righty tighty) threads. If it's on that tight, use something that'll give you a little extra leverage to break it loose..like a 1/2" piece of conduit, over the ratchet handle..or tap the ratchet handle w/ a hammer....if it still doesnt come off...put some penetrating oil on it, let it sit for a few minutes and then try...It shouldn't be on that tight, but....
  24. i stand corrected....
  25. DAMN DUDE!!!!!!!...
