  1. I dont know how Chevy has there's set up, but on the Dodge, there's a set of vacuum lines that run from the t-case to the front axle. After time these lines get brittle and break apart....My guess is (if it is vac actuated) that's your problem.... Check this site out pavement sucks lots of good info...it's like the BHQ of 4x's..... good luck...
  2. I totally agree w/ evil!!..good call man!.. I always get a good chuckle when people say this...... (night/day..apples/oranges...) thats odd, i took mine on an FZ750 in MI...... take the 12-13k your gonna spend on the R1 and get an older 600....put another grand towards gear and a good safety school, and put the rest in the bank so you have some cash to buy parts for when you dump it... take it from the ones that have been there....
  3. [golf clap] ......
  4. I had posted the same question a while back(so have a few others).... try doin a search...lots of replies on this subject. I just ended up warming the bike up to get the pipes hot, and picked at the burned stuff w/ a puddy knife....then used something like goo gone, or simple green to get the light stuff off...
  5. There should be 2 bolts per side. There's a mounting tab by the stinger, and one on the silencer itself. If the dealer mounted 'em, I'd head back over there and talk to them first.....sounds like they might have F'ed up, have them fix it..... If no one else has any pics to post up soon, let me know and i'll take a few and email 'em to ya.....
  6. I spent a good 4 hours on PRERUNNERS.net last night, lookin at different set ups....so many options.... I was thinkin of low back race buckets for the Toyota.....and maybe 350 conversion.. .. I'll go see about getting on aol....
  7. Hey evil, you have pics of the seats and harness set set up, in your buddy's F-150?
  8. I have a Motion Pro twist, w/ cables, and carb tops(non TORS)....
  9. I've never done it on the banshee, but i use Mopar conditioner (or SeaFoam) in my truck to get rid of carbon build up......
  10. kung foo grip..... < that's funny [censored]!!!!!!.... I have a set of the Tag(??) <the soft spongy ones, but dont really care for 'em much. Tie wired, glued and they still "roll"... I like a thinner/harder grip, like the SCOTT's hurricaneATV grip.. It's thin, hard, and has the "waffle" pattern around the whole grip, not just part of it like most...
  11. I have desert landscape..... no help, but its a free bump to the top anyway....
  12. Here's the cell number he gave me.....(724) 208-3731...you know, just incase anybody wants to call him and say hi...... I sent him an email and PM right after i found out he screwed u too, but still no reply.....
  13. The only other ones i've seen are the Cascades..... Are there others on the market?
  14. Welcome !! Check out the "repair and mods" section. It'll give ya an idea of things you may want to do in the future.... I told myself that after getting pipes i was DONE...I didn't need anything else, just pipes, and i'd be good to go.... W/ a little help from the good folks on this site, i was able to see the error of my ways..just pipes, wasn't good enough...I NEEDED(wanted) MORE!!!!!... take a look around. There's lots of good info on here.... have fun..

I hear ya bro, same seems to happen w/ my dodge.....save up for (whatever)...and the tranny goes, or vacuum leak, or...... anyway, do like boon said, and get a book (haynes or whatever), and do the work yourself. Grab a buddy and make a weekend out of it....If ya get stuck, there's plenty of Ford messege boards out there to look up info.... good luck!!
  17. I started chewin in high school(umteen years ago.... )....quit for a couple years(for a chick)< got rid of that bad habit, and started chewin again.. 2 cans a day...
  18. I wanted to for the longest time, but didn't didn't because i was affraid i was going to F it up.... i finally "sucked it up" and cut 'em off a couple weeks ago.....no regrets!!! i think it looks 10 times better w/ out 'em!..
  19. nice link blue!! I didnt know they had aftermarket bolt kits out....
  20. which bolts do you want to know the length on?
  21. Yeah , which is fine by me(no money spent)....cause i have a lotta other things i need(see aslo WANT) to do to the truck and little money to do it w/....
  22. ohhhhhh, my bad..... ..i think it's a 125, but not real sure. It's an old MTX 750 something.... I thought about the Optimas, but am better off just stickin w/ the auto zone ones that i have...the way the desert heat kills a battery, they dont last long out here, and free replacement is still free replacement
  23. Thanks boon...thats good to know...now i can use the impact to get 'er back on too!!...
  24. I have a 120 now...but was thinking of going to 136(i think thats what it was) out of a 3/4 ton truck. I went to a dodge messege board and was told that for what i have (stereo, extra lights.....) that my alt should be fine...It's when you start going "overboard" ( 40 amps, 30 subs, off-road lights as big as big as the sun, and winches that'll pull a house from its foundation.... ) that you'll need to upgrade the alt. Since i pulled the deck out and blew out the connections, i've had no problems...
