  1. thunder valley dirt drags is in west virginia.not very far from cumberland ,md.blair bedford dirt drags is at bakers summit.about 20 minutes or so from bedford.I don't know if new paris dragway will open this year or not .i ran trail claw II'S at the drags last year and the worked good for me.if you would like to try any of these drags sometime let me know and maybe we could meet up and you could join us.
  2. +4 long rod stroker,passion port job,v force reeds,grr pipes,k &n filters,pvl ignition,1-5 overide tranny,pro wedge 2's and your set to go.however this set up would be for drag race only.if you go with an overide tranny trails are definatly out.you hold it open and shift with out the clutch and don't let off the throttle till you squeeze the clutch or are in 5th gear or it will probally bend some shift forks.

  5. i like the rat idea.if they would i'd pay them to let me deal with the bastard.torture so severe for a year he begs to die every minute of it.then just drop him feet first in a metal shredder.they should make torture a legal punishment in cases such as this.

  10. be very careful and alert with the twist throttle till you get used to it!!!!!it can be tricky.if you have aftermarket carbs and your tors is already removed you should'nt need an idle kit.

  12. i have a new set of 38mm mikuni tm flatslides only ran a few hours.i would be interested in trading for a set of new 34mm pj's or 35pwk's or lectrons for gas.
  13. toomey is retired and no longer does any work.i'm sure if toomey were not retired and was still in the bussiness of doing these conversions you would see them .them guys are like you and almost everyone else ,you's never saw or heard of toomeys work.if i could duplicate his work and have it match his quality and performance i guarentee i would be selling a lot of this type of set up.as for why would i let anyone else work on them ,it is because they needed bored and rather than throw them away i put alot of trust in someone i thought could do a great job on them and i put the trust in the right guy.now i'm gonna probally trust him again soon and guys will hopefully see a dyno sheet they won't believe.if anyone is close enough to thunder valley dirt drag in west virginia when season starts and wants to see this motor run or wants to run against it ,bring it on.the x3 my son got will be there too.

  15. mine the angle is close to stock and the walls are'nt very thin.as i said previously the guy knew what he was doing back when he was doing these conversions.he done very few small bore conversions and not very many big bores either.don't get me wrong,i'm not saying i have the ultimate clyinders but it would be very hard to match the craftsmanship that went into them.and as for running mine run unbelievably great.right now they are putting out if i remember right 75 hp on gas and 87 hp on alky.thats with a stock crank thats trued and welded and a 20 overbore,t5's and 34pj's.i have thick walled sleeves in them and can bore them all the way to 72 mm.i just had them bored again and they are now 40 over ,thats the first time since they had the reed conversion in 1997.i had the porting and such mapped out and with a little touch up and exhaust work they will dyno at 90+hp on gas and 100+on alky.when i can i'm gonna have it dynoed and i'll post the sheet for ya's top see.if ya's talk to passionre ,ask him about steve's big reed cyls he bored.so plz don't think i'm a smart ass ,but they run awsome.you would have to see them to believe it.whats even more unbelievable is it cost over 3300 bucks to have this motor built back in 1997.
  16. i'm running yz125 boyesen power reeds.i've seen a few big reed conversions my self and aint seen none that even come close to comparing to the ones that i run.the ones i've seen the big reeds were grafted onto the shee cylinders ,mine were not grafted or welded to the back of the cylinder.my whole cylinder was transformed.when the races get under way i'll try to get some video of a run or two.after i race the x3 a time or two my motor is off to get some minor touch up and i'm going to try to have it dynoed .after the touch up it should be 90+hp on race gas and 100+on alky.i get it dynoed i'll post it no matter what the hp.who done the reed conversions you have seen?

  18. you never saw a big reed conversion like the one i have i bet.very few people have.mine was done by a guy who knew what he was doing and took pride in his work.the set i have were done by ed tomey and i bet if you seen them you would be amazed at the craftmanship.it runs well enough that the guys i race against swore i was running a stroker and doubted if it is really a small bore.as for horsepower what would you say to a big reed conversion ,stock crank,small bore making 90+ hp on gas and 100+ on alky? if we were close enough to meet up in a drag race i guarentee you would be quite impressed.
  19. i have a set of cylinders that are ported with a head that has been milled for a 7mm stroker for sale or trade.cylinders need resleeved.don't know who ported them but they look good.
  20. i have a big reed conversion motor that is basically stock except the reed conversion and it will run with or better than most small bore 4 mil strokers.passion re just gave it a fresh bore job.they are probally one of a kind cylinders and when my son [bkabina]and i get my motor and his x3 motor tuned in and run against each other at the drags if the x3 whoops my ass the big reed cyls.are going back to jim to be worked into a version of his x motor.we have a 370 rudy kurtz top end i am going to run against the x3 also.april 23 is test and tune with first real drag may 7 so we will know then how his x motor runs.

    i'm looking for a set of orange or yellow plastic for a banshee.unpainted and in decent shape.
  23. i have a set of silenced out of frame shearer big bore drag pipes that i may swap for a set of small bore out of frame drag pipes grr's,cpi's,rockets.they are not chrome ,they are painted black.they are in nice condition. if interested let me know what drag pipes ya got to trade.
