  9. sredish, When you go from 32:1 to 50:1 you have more fuel then oil. 50 parts fuel to 1 part oil. So you are richening. If you have, let's just say, 320 mains and you are running 32:1 then you switch to 50:1 you are getting more fuel and less oil, so you're richening your jetting without adding a larger main. So you should go down 1-2 depending on plug chop. Hope that makes sense. Although like you said it is a small amount in the grand scheme. Think about it like this. You have 32oz of gas to dilute 1oz of oil. Then you take that same 1oz of 50oz of gas. So you are spreading the oil out over more fluid. Now you are leaning out the oil, but when people talk about leaning or richening a mixture out they are usually talking about the ratio of GAS TO AIR. Oil is not in the equation but it does effect that gas to air mixture. But you should not adjust your jetting by adjusting your ratio. You should pic the ratio that gives you the best performance/protection and then jet to that. Dustin
  10. Just go down 1-2 on your mains and adjust screws. Check this page out Banshee FAQ on Jetting According to that cheat sheet I am supposed to be running around 330's but I am running at 50:1 and I am running 300's. Runs Great! Hope this helps Dustin
  11. There is no where to put an o-ring. Like Pimp said. Use High temp silicone. I ran a good bead on the inside of the pipe about 1/4 inch in. Let it set up then put it together. Now if your pipe is like mine, when everthing is mounted up there is a gap where the pipe meets the cylinder, only about an 1/8-1/4 inch. I put some silicone on my finger and mushed it into any gaps I found. I now have no leaking problems. Dustin

    Racing Pics

erbilabuc, JMP is 10 all day. If you are going to come up a practice just let me know. I will check the Website and see if they are having Practice. It all depends on the race scheduele but they usually have practice on Wed 5-10pm, Sat 10-10 and Sun 10-10. There were 3 TRX's at the race and I only new one of them and his name is Ron. The other 2, one was an older guy that used to ride Desert and the other was a younger kid. Dustin

    Racing Pics

Here are a couple of pics of me racing. I took 6th in the first moto out of 11(due to chain coming off at start, damn sand) and 2nd in the second moto! Over all due to some DNFs and wrecks I got 2nd over all. Got me a trophy! Since the pics didn't work here is a link to the album The first 8 or so pics are some friends and myself messing around at a track here in Jacksonville NC called JMP. All the ones labeled Montrose are from the Race this past weekend April 18th, 2004 Montrose racing pics Dustin
  15. Anybody?
  16. Will you take $250? Dustin
  17. Cheeze, 480 seems kinda big, but do the chops and see where you are. Dusitn
  18. That is exactly what I get from mine! The power band comes on smooooooth and predictable and shee pulls hard down low. Now if you go to this pipe from fattys you will notice a bit of top end decrease. I rode a buddies with fattys and it was a screamer compared to mine on the trials but too unpredictable on the track. I can treat my shee like a four stroke on the track. Barely ever have to clutch it. And it doesn't fall on its face when I nail it coming out of corners. If you ever get a chance to ride one setup with a dynoport take that chance you will be suprised on the lowend grunt that this pipe gives. Dustin
  19. TTT I will also consider a 36mm

    Gearing Again

OC, I am running the 2-1 pipe and the stock carbs (working on 2-1 carb, thanks to cheezehead!) I was running out my stock gearing something fierce. I also have the casesaver and Blue Duece is right. You can only go up to a 15 front with the saver. I run 15/41 and I run small to medium tracks and 3rd is the money gear. 4th pulls like mad if you can get into it. You never see first. Second only in the tightest of corners. And if you can get into 5th hold on, especially on tacky tracks. If you find that you are shifting too much with 15/41 then go 15/40-38. 15/38=16/41 just in case you want to how it pulls. I am jumping 60ft doubles in 4th with 15/41 so there is plenty of gear with that setup. And that is on a loose loamy track. Dustin
  21. I might be interested in the left, let me know. Dustin
  22. I am look for a single carb complete. I am really looking for a stock 34mm 250R Carb if anybody has one laying around. But anything 33-35mm would be fine as long as it is complete. pm me or email at [email protected] Thanks, Dustin
  23. Same question as above. Dustin
  24. Spend $500 on a nice set of elkas up front, have the rear redone to your weight and riding style $75 Then get some pipes to compliment your riding style $250-500. Also get a good filter setup $50-100. That is where my money would go. "You can always go faster on a stock well suspended Banshee then a modded banshee with stock shocks!" -Foobie Dustin
