  1. Alright. I changed the jetting in my BRAND NEW 28mm Mikuni Flatsides a week or two ago and the choke lever started to not click into a spot where it was on, it would be about halfway down and then stop. Now I changed the jetting again just now (cause it wasn't right yet) and now it doesn't even stick in an on position at all. Any clues what to do with it? I push down the lever and it just goes back up. Any help is appreciated. Thanks Bob
  2. It told me I was super cool! What do I win?
  3. Depends on how much skill you have. Just take your time and everything will be alright.
  4. Friend of mine and I just ordered a pair of +3+1 UGLY's for his project 250r. Hope they hold up good and good luck with yours.
  5. Hey thanks a lot guys. I'll just shave off that little tab on the clamp...You're sayin it should be good after that so I'll do it. Thanks again. Bob
  6. Well ya...Where the carb goes to the intake is smaller, but where the air filter goes its bigger. I really don't understand it myself. Where it goes into the intake boot, the stock carb is 1 3/8" diameter to the outside edge, the 28mm is 1 1/4" diameter to the outside edge. I thought they were sposed to fit the same. Need more help! Bob
  7. I just got a pair of 28mm Mikuni Flatsides in the mail today. Hooray...However...I go to put them on, they should mount right to the stock intake correct? I have K&N clamp ons and those go on with a little bit of help. The carbs will not mount to the intake manifold though. They fit, but the diameter is about 1/8-3/16" smaller than the stock ones. What am I sposed to do? Thanks in advance. Bob

    Woohoo!

Finally got the 04 race schedule yesterday for the track. Only 50 days left before the opener. I'm even more excited now that I know the schedule! Rock on! Bob
  9. I raced once completely stock last year, except tires and a K&N, for my first race. Pulled a 3rd place trophy.
  10. Eyeball EngineeringThere ya go led
  11. Thanks a lot locogato for the input! I think we'll get some ordered tomorrow then. Gotta get arms and swingarm. So that'll be covered. Thanks again.
  12. Anybody ever purchase any A-Arms from Eyeball Engineering? My friend and I are building a 250r and thinking about going with arms from them cause they look decent and are still pretty cheap. Any input is appreciated. Thanks Bob
  13. You think 32mm mikuni's would be decent yet for low end on my shee? I got fatty's with powercore2 silencers, i forget what kind of carbon fiber reeds, .030 milled head. Pretty sure thats all for engine setup. I do mx all the time and it's a pretty tight track. I bid on some 32mm's on ebay that were pretty cheap so far, but not sure if it'll have enough low end pull yet. Or I'll try to find some 28's or 30's. If anybody has some for sale please let me know? Thanks in advance for the help.

Hey thanks for the tip. I would go for 30mm but I'm more of a low end guy. I race MX and I dont really need to go any faster than I already am.

I'm looking for some 28mm carbs. Anybody got some they're willin to get rid of? Thanks. Later Bob
  17. A friend of mine might be interested. He's got a 98 CR125R with pretty much everything on it setup for mx and a 99 Warrior that's stock to trade. Plus some cash probably.
  18. I forget where it was, in WI somewhere close to me. My parents friends know the people really well. There was a guy and his 10 year old son riding a 4 wheel drive of some sort. The dad said no more and the son begged one more time. So the dad began to drive around one more lap and was going up a hill and it flipped backwords on top of them killing the 10 year old boy. Neither were wearing helmets, the father is ok except maybe left with guilt for not stopping when he said he was going to. Just a really horrible story.
  19. Anybody have a complete twist throttle kit for a banshee that they wanna get rid of? Lemme know.
  20. Spark seems fine yet after it dies. The jetting is good too, plugs are pretty close to what color they are sposed to be. But if it was the spark, why would it run fine for 10 minutes when its cold, and then once it gets warm it runs like shit?
  21. Its all good stuff. Just put new fuel in it and cleaned out the carb and everything before I even tried to run it. I'm gonna try putting new gas lines on it though and see if that does anything.
  22. I have a 77 Ski-Doo that my boss gave me a little while ago. He said it had running problems and if I wanted to work on it I can just have it. Anywho...We got some snow the other day and I took it out for a little spin. Drove a little while, and let my friend ride it a bit and it died. Today I took it out when I got home. It ran perfect for maybe...10 minutes. Run pretty much WOT in order to keep going a decent speed. It ran at about 7-8k RPMs and after 10 minutes or so even at WOT the RPMs dropped slowly to about 4k where I couldn't move anymore, and then I let off the throttle and it just died. After that it wouldn't start anymore. It runs good for 10 minutes and then just gets real crappy and then won't start anymore. Anybody got any suggestions to what I can maybe check on? Thanks a lot. Later Bob
  23. When I raced with mine it was completely stock. I was going against 250r's, predators, raptors, 400ex's, and blasters. These were all hopped up to no end. I got 3rd the first moto and 4th the second. What makes a banshee easier to ride for mx is +2+1 or +2+2 arms, new shocks, a shortened swingarm, wider axle, and a good set of low end pipes. 18" tires in the rear have better acceleration with the sacrafice of speed which you don't need on an mx track. Change your front shocks definately, you can get your rear shock revalved for a lot cheaper than it would be to buy a whole new shock. Plus, the banshee rear shock is awesome if it is setup to your specs. I went with Elka shocks up front and rear revalved from Elka, through Janssen Motorsports. 2-1 carb setup is not a must. It supposedly gains low end, I don't exactly know cause I've never had it or ridden one with it. Most likely it just makes it easier to adjust settings cause you only have one carb to deal with instead of two. As for pipes, I use FMF Fatty's with Powercore II silencers. They have the most low end. Toomy's are more of a long straight kinda pipe. I run 18x9.5x8 Turf Tamers on Champion beadlocks and 21x7x10 holeshots on the front. Works excellent for semi-loose/semi-packed dirt.
  24. I got fatty's on my shee and I really like them. Never ridden a shee with SST's though. So I'm not quite sure the difference.

    Banshee?

My friends gotta 1998 CR125R with 144 big bore, fmf fatty with powercore 2 silencer, and a bunch of other stuff. Setup for MX. He also has a 99 warrior he's looking to get rid of. He really wants a Banshee now that hes ridden mine. Anybody willing to trade lemme know and I'll get you some pics and more info on it. Bob
