Yes it's sad, but that is how life is. Look the the Chevrolet Camaro, where's it on the line up? This is why I bought a new one last year, and may have to buy another one before the end of production/sales. Heck, here in Wisconsin, it's already hard to find new ones. Dealers only want to deal with the latest and greatest 4 pokes. Dealership where I bought mine, as I was leaving, heard the owner tell one of his employees-"thats the last one of those we'll ever have again", apparently they didn't appreciate Banshee's as much as us. One thing that always brings a smile to my face, is how people on the trails always compare 4 pokes to banshee's. That is something that will take a long time to change, the reputation of being fast.

Tell the truth, you couldn't wait! My wife took my cool head and wrapped it up in a different size box. I'd hafta open them all to find it, she'd really be PO'd then.

If your planning on buying a new needle, you will need to know which direction to go (leaner or richer). Have you had any success moving the needle, if so which way seemed to help the most? That will be a good indicator of what to get. Mine came with a DEK in case your doing an impromptu poll.

found cracks in in intake maniflods.
Wallynut replied to 1sreamin350's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
Just get new, by the time you buy used and get it shipped, it will be a joke. At least with new, you shouldn't have any trouble with air leaks. Pretty cheap repair compared to a blown motor. -
"i have a video of a banshee doing a backflip" -hopefully not on a hillclimb

I like how they "feel" the need to tell the dumb people to register their machine, yet they don't spell check.

Good that Peterson got the death penalty, but being in Kalifornication, he'll never see the needle or the chair. Hell they never executed Manson, how long has he been vacationing there?

Take a pic and post it. The fronts could be yzf 450 shocks.

S&W or Sig 1911 and holster?
Wallynut replied to German Shepherd's topic in General Banshee Discussion
Stay away from the Smith & Wesson, your paying for the name. There's better 1911's out there if that is what you want/can carry. Caliber is something that you have to decide what you can handle. The Sig is excellent, pricy, harder to get quick repairs if needed (not too likely), Glock is also great in any caliber but the .45 GAP. Only reason I say that is cause holsters are a slight problem to find for your needs. I've got the .45GAP and like it so don't take it wrong, just a holster problem and since this caliber is not taking off, doubt this will change. Another good gun is the H&K in .45, but they are bulky. Their compact isn't really compact (unless you compare it to their fullsize), but is very easy to shoot well. Good luck on your decision, buying guns can be fun. -
Cooldevil, When I first put on my 2 into 1 with a 33pwk, I seemed to have a lot of trouble with the main jet. But in my case, the needle position and pilot jet seemed to be the most critical. Of course the main is important, but it wasn't till I got the needle in the correct location did things come alive. On my search here on the HQ, I found most were running the needle richer (4th notch down), well mine likes it leaner (2nd notch down). Till I got that, I couldn't even get an accurate plug chop at WOT. Your symptoms seem the opposite of what I was dealing with now that I've re-read your post. Was this setup running good before? Where are you on your needle position? What pilots? ELEVATION AND TEMP???

Dodges may have more occurances of front wheels going their seperate ways, but they aren't the only ones. Just seen a Ford "Lightning" pickup that had lost it's right front. Only 2 years old with about 60,000 miles on it.

Welcome rocketpig, I got one of your 2 into 1 carb kits. I love it for the trail riding that I do. Wallynut

If you do the zerk fitting, (which you should, doesn't cost much to do) watch out how much grease you put in, easy to blow out the seal @ the dust cover. You will have to take the swingarm back off to reset the seal, else you will tear it up riding.

Too bad this deal didn't come up about a month ago. I was wanting to get a duramax , but they wanted alot for them brand new. Ended up getting a new '04 Suburban instead. Where abouts is this truck at?

Don't hesitate, get them, they are great mod and good looking also.
-
yep, you can use it

Your float should be set about 16mm. Here's a site that might help ya: carb parts warehouse

This guy goes by the name of "wheelerparts-com" on e-bay. Checked out his history, seems to change his e-bay name once a year, which isn't always a good sign. Haven't heard from my friend tonight, so don't know if anything is getting straightened out. His first time buying something on flea-bay and he gets jacked around.
-
Someone I know believes that these people may be screwing him over on a e-bay deal for one of their grab bars. Not much money, but it's the principle of the thing. They are out of Colorado. They don't answer e-mails or the phone. Here's thier web site: Wheelerparts Don't want to slam them just yet. Just want to get the facts straight first.

I don't know anything about desert riding. If you can mess up a Banshee suspension hitting things out there, I'm sure you can ruin any other make of machine also. There's lots of aftermarket stuff out there for most makes of machines, but nothing has more options then the Banshee. As for comfort, I'm partial to my Banshee, the seat is better then most for long range riding. You need to decide if the 2 stroke or the 4 cycle is more in line with the riding you do. Being a holiday weekend, give it a day or two, someone with desert experience will pipe in.

This maybe a dumb question, but someone who's never done the dyno might wonder. Don't shops that run dyno's have some way of testing/analyzing the exhaust gas's to determine if the fuel/air mix is where it needs to be throughout the rpm range?
-
That boost bottle might just be the thing that will "pop" your top end. You gotta learn to write/type a little better, sorry if your from a different country and don't know English very well. If those are your mods so far, they shouldn't cause any problems. Don't understand the stock silencers with fmf pipes??? Did you have to get it bored .80 over for some reason, or was that from previous owner? For your question (from what I can understand)just be consistent on your oil/fuel mix, and watch your plugs, they will let you know what is going on inside. Learn how to jet your carbs if you don't know already.
-
Those are different then the razor's II that I have. But if they are 6ply, I'm sure they are just as heavy. My tires alone weight more then the stock tires and rims together.
-
Are you talking about the razr II's that are 6ply? If so, they are nice, but heavy. Rocks don't seem to have as much chance of puncturing thru. They throw lots of stuff.

How hot is shee getting? Vent line/gas cap can cause problem, but usually doesn't take a half hour. Check your fuel and vent for the hell of it.
