I've messed with everything from stock to +6 on my serval dune bike. Stock arm was hard to do hill climbs with. The +6 arm was dumb and didn't handle or turn at all. After that I went to the +4 and it was a little bit better but the handling suffered badly. In the end I got a +2 and haven't looked back. It's got just enough extra length that it's fun on hill climbs but the handling doesn't suffer. A lot of guys buy a swing arm based on looks. Dont be that guy. Well, another thing to look at, what kinda horsepower are you looking to get out of this 421, and how aggressive of a rider are you? Healthy 421 , in the dunes with a +4 will be no fun , unless your an aggressive rider. My +6 on 421 cub , (mid 90s HP) was dumb.

Yes totally agree. Ive riden a few bike with cpi's and do like their power delivery but have gone through this fourm and the SLP's seem to be a better match for this build. Hoping it will perform well, still have a bunch of work to do on it over the winter. Sent from my LG-H873 using Tapatalk

Well guys, been working on the project off and on, but finally today was start it up day. She fired right up after a few kicks. Seems to be running a bit fat so I will lean it up a little. Need to get my Foam Air Filter before I start tuning, it's on it's way. Both carbs rebuilt and put back to stock jets. Stock Pipes found local on Craigslist DG Silencers with fresh packing (need to fix leak with JB Weld on the inlet side) All new fuel lines and drain All new fluids (oil and coolanol) I am sure there is more, plus waiting on more parts.

Very large screws or knobs on the very top of the TORS boxes (remove the seat) adjust the idle. Turn both evenly clockwise to raise RPMs
