  5. We did get the cylinders in Mar., but nothing can be done until we get the rods changed out on the crank. We took the crank to Crank Works for rebuild & rod length change in May. We'll see how long it takes. When we get the crank back, we can start on the porting & mock-up. Then have domes cut & get cylinders out for plating. It would be nice to have this all done before the end of Sept. but that's wishful thinking! 2BKING 👽

  11. So earlier last week I helped a friend out with his diesel pickup. He let his wife drive the truck to and from her work. So my friend forgot that the truck was low on fuel. He told her to stop on her way home from work and put some diesel in it. So she wound up putting $60 of gasoline in it. Here is Nj you pump your own diesel but gas is full service. So we over the holiday weekend we dropped the fuel tank and flush the fuel system out and installed a new fuel filter. We ended up with 30 gallons of contaminated diesel/gasoline mixed. Now to catch a fuel thief part. My neighbors 18yo son bought a 2020 Chevy 2500 HD with the Duramax at the beginning of May. So yesterday he came over and wanted to know if I could show him how to service his truck. Oil change, fuel filter and a new air filter. While I was showing him I happen to notice he was eye balling the 6- 5 gallon yellow diesel fuel cans sitting outside of my garage. So we get done servicing his truck and I told him that he needed fuel and that he should never let the fuel level get below 1/4 of a tank because then you start sucking up the water and other garbage on the bottom of the tank that’s not good for the fuel system. Now speed things up. This morning I come out of my house to go to my garage to get my e-trike out to go to work and noticed that the yellow diesel cans were moved in a different direction. So I checked my rear door ring camera and lo and behold the neighbors son and 2 of his friends came over at around 4:30am and carried the fuel cans away and then about 30 minutes later they came back and put the fuel cans back. So all I did was put my hand on my head and then SMH. I then leave for work at 6:30am and get down the street and at the 4 way stop I looked both ways and noticed the neighbors son’s truck sitting on the side of the road with it’s hazard lights on. I ride up and asked him what happened (not telling him that I knew what he did) he said he was on his way to school and that turned the corner and the truck started to make a funny noise and then shut off. A couple minutes later his dad shows up asking him what wrong and his son says he doesn’t know. So I pulled his dad off to side and then told him I know what happened and then I showed him exactly what happened. His dad got pissed off at his son. So earlier this evening my neighbor and his son came over and the son apologized to me for stealing the contents from the 6 yellow fuel cans. I offered to help them fix the truck but they refused and they said they had the truck towed to the dealership to get fixed and his son was responsible for getting it repaired.
  12. Thanks. I have verified all those things. 195 psi on each cylinder, .040 squish on each side and the motor easily passes leakdown. Just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing something.
  13. I have heard that the transmission oil in the right side can help keep that side cooler. If you have verified there are no air leaks, compression, squish, etc is the same, just run it.
  14. You are correct, sorry for the confusion. The left cylinder is leaner. Left carb power jet is 1 turn from completely open while the right carb power jet is closed. With this setting, the plugs look similar.
  15. Your information is off. You say that right cylinder is lean but you have to close the PJ completely, while the left is open. Can you clarify this? Sounds like the left is lean and the right is not.
  16. [emoji106] Finishing the build now, mounted a lightened but can swap to stock… Thnx Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. TM 38 bored to 41mm. I swapped the carbs from one side to the other and the condition was unchanged.
  18. 2026 bump. Still can't figure this one out.
  19. Awesome. id love to see what equipment (jigs etc) needed to make a pipe. Curious of templates and matching each side. thanks for starting this thread
  20. Probably one of the most important aspects of pipe tuning, you’ve read my posts about tuning with effective lengths formulas. An example pipe will make it easier to understand. It takes .265 milliseconds for pressure waves to travel through a header section 47mm (avg) diameter by 200mm long. It also takes .265 milliseconds for pressure waves to travel through a belly section of 110mm diameter by 150mm long. The example pipe shows the header section pressure wave travels 50mm farther than it does in the belly section in the same amount of time. Using effective length formulas makes it very easy to time pressure changes in the pipe for resonance tuning. The end of each section will start a return wave to and from the exhaust port. Header and diffuser sections are tuned and timed to be in resonance with the last diffuser, belly and baffle.
  21. I wouldn't cut the flywheel for that build, it should rev quick. If all I had was a lightened flywheel I would run it and see how it works.
  22. Driveline does cranks . Bill could hook ya up with everything.
  23. Looking forward to learning. Generally speaking can you explain the effects of chamber diameter and cone length ?
