shee4speed Posted August 23, 2008 Report Posted August 23, 2008 I was just wondering what the temp would be for the motor to get screwed up. When my impeller broke and the coolant level was very very low,I wonder how hot it got.I pulled the intakes and looked at the pistons and they look fine. Compression is better then when I just got the topend on. Should I pull the pipes and look there? Or say screw it and everything is good to go. I hope I just caught it in time, luckily. Quote

How long and hard were you riding? Its not like it was getting hot from being to lean. Water cooled is for "helping" it stay cool and the performance of the machine, Id say your prolly ok. Quote
shee4speed Posted August 23, 2008 Author Report Posted August 23, 2008 not very hard where we were riding. That sob prolly wasn't broke too long, but who knows.I noticed something wasn't quite right when the fuel was bubbling in the tank vent hose. That was goofy.I thought the cap was just screwed up. Im not sure if that would affect the head or not, but if its running good I think I would just go with it. Quote

Keyser Soze Posted August 24, 2008 Report Posted August 24, 2008 I had mine at 260 for about five minutes. It spewed coolant everywhere. Fired it up 1/2 hour later. No problems. It was really stupid of me, I was stuck out at haspin. Just goes to show you two stokes are not as fical as everything thinks. Quote
shee4speed Posted August 24, 2008 Author Report Posted August 24, 2008 yeah, I think I might invest in some of those temp.stickers from RMATV. Quote
