kawiking Posted June 3, 2008 Report Posted June 3, 2008 The biggest benifit to going through Jeff is a personal touch... You have a issue with installing a part you get from Cascade/RMATV, they will give a shit less.. Give Jeff a call and he will walk you through it.. Id rather have someone on the other end that gives a shit, rather than a little fancy cart(icon) feature on a site.. Not to mention that little cart won't help you chose the CORRECT part you might be after.. Adding to the list also, why would you rather support some big company rather than help support the little guy? Red, Iam not sure what your deal is man, but it appears your having one of your episodes again??? Jeff is a damn good guy and you are taking shots at him left and right.. Don't get it man.. Oh and back on topic, leave Jeff a message or PM.. I can ASSURE you he will return it as soon as he can.. RIPPEN did u call jeff a little guy ?? lol..... i didnt know what FBT stood for for a long time.. when i found out i laughed my ass off.. i believe dave, dave,jt,travis and jeff rep that race crew...... fbt racing ?? lol Quote
dajogejr Posted June 3, 2008 Report Posted June 3, 2008 J... When you get the wrong parts because you clicked something on the web page..or you forgot to order something you'd need to coincide with what you're buying (example, bigger carbs need bigger intakes AND bigger air filters) you'll realize what personal service is. Ask Rocky Mountain or Cascade to hold up the UPS delivery man for a last second shipment...oh, that option isn't in the shopping cart, my bad. I don't buy all my stuff from FAST, sometimes I get a better price (normally on used parts), sometimes I'm in a bit of a hurry....but I keep it with the FAST family when I can. Neither cascade or RMATV are builders, they're parts warehouses. Ask RMATV or Cascade what a specific should be on a setup you have...see if they have an answer, let alone a clue what you're talking about...you know, like dump tubes and main jets on alky carbs for 7500 feet....when a bike won't run right... I'm not saying you should buy everything under the sun from FAST, just give a one man show with the best service around a chance to call you back. Just because it's a priority to you, doesn't mean he doesn't have 50 priorities that were in line before you and in his shop.... Quote
Animalman294 Posted June 5, 2008 Report Posted June 5, 2008 Ya, the man does get a lot of of e-mails, PM's and phone calls. I know when I'm on the phone with him at times he puts me on hold many times, but he still comes back and answer's my all my stupid questions until I get it............. Which those that know me, know that it sometimes takes a little time...................... Quote

csrmel Posted June 6, 2008 Report Posted June 6, 2008 i generally agree with bigred350x. jeff and fast sound like a great place but they need to hire some more people to help with the lode if they get that many calls and emails a day. i talk to jeff before on the phone. sometimes his back lode of work is 6 months or more! jeff is a nice guy and i thank him for the call but i cant wait that fuckin long. i dont even know what i would do waiting 6 months for a set of ported jugs. you guys want to wait 6 months or more for a parts turn around? i went with trinity and got my shit back in like 2 weeks. hell it takes ups around 4-5 days just to get there, another 4-5 to get back. so thats pretty quick. maybe trinity cost about 15% more then fast this is true, maybe they tech support is not as good, but i git a hold of a tech at trinity each time i called. and they seemed knowledgeable to me. ill be godamned if im going to wait 6 months or more on parts turnaround. i bought my banshee to run, not sit naked in my garage waiting on someone else. rockymountainatv trinityracing cascadeinnovations all have good tech support, good turnaround, low wait time, etc. there are other good places with low turn around, but i dont have expierence with them so i wont list. ill bet i get some shit from some of you big name members for listing trinity, so fuck you in advance. 2bzy2p Posted June 6, 2008 Report Posted June 6, 2008 (edited) I agree I wouldnt want to wait 6months either but if you know anything about porting is the more time they spend with them the better they will run.I know guys who can port a set of cylinders have 10 + hours in them..let them sit on the shelf and a couple days later go back and say man I need to get this this and this...I give it to anybody who ports Ive done it and you CANNOT sit there and start a port and continue till its done youll go freaking crazy,,, Edited June 6, 2008 by 2bzy2p Quote
kawiking Posted June 6, 2008 Report Posted June 6, 2008 i d rather wait 6 months , i havent heard anything good about trinity in awhile... not anything against u csrmel... thanks for the fuck you advance... lol that saves a couple of extra pages on this thread..lmfao  no hard feelins... if u want to use someone else , thats fine... dont come on here and bs about a company because they are to busy.... every small town local shop is backed up this time a year ,just like the big name builders.. thats just how it works. okbeast Posted June 6, 2008 Report Posted June 6, 2008 I was gonna rag on you for drag racin a stock swinger, but i guess you covered that one already too Quote
Hilarious Posted June 6, 2008 Report Posted June 6, 2008 (edited) jeff has a lot of local business going on too, from what i have been told. not just all us fbt racers and wannabe fbt racers are calling wanting 4 wheeler stuff. he's working on the farmer's quads too. i am impatient as the next guy but id be willing to wait 6 months for a set of kick ass ported cylinders. two things one could do, get a second bike to rip around on or buy a second set of cylinders to send out. jeff is heck of a guy to do business with and he does good work too. Good things come to those who wait... Id put one of Jeffs motors up against a trinity motor any day of the week... Thats why people use Jeff... you get a custom port job, not a cookie cutter port job. Quote
