RIPPEN Posted April 27, 2008 Report Posted April 27, 2008 A buddy of mine recently purchased a 05' banshee from a local stealership.. Overall a pretty clean bike but besides pipe and boost bottle(lol) its BONE stock.. He wanted to put his lights on a single switch and wire in a different kill switch to clean up the bars similar to what I did with mine.. Also he changed out the clutch purch and also got rid of the parking brake.. Well now the problem is we cant get it to fire.. It does have the tors shit still on it.. We checked for spark and found we do have it on both sides.. When we wired in the killswitch we fired the bike up and made sure that all worked good which it did.. It wasn't untill after we pulled the clutch shit apart it started acting goofey.. I realize it could be fuel, or something besides ignition.. But its just weird it fired up within a kick or two before, but now wont even sputter or try at all... Bring on the ideas.. Oh and we havn't done a comp check yet but as I said, that morning the bike fired and ran fine.. Thanks fellas.. RIPPEN Quote

locogato11283 Posted April 28, 2008 Report Posted April 28, 2008 jayme, its got something to do with that TORS shit. need to go thru there and unplug some shit and try it out. that parking brake has a kill switch wired into it.. so when that parking brake is set, the bike wont start and run right. im betting its all that TORS nonsense.. I agree with that... on the bike I took the tors off one TORS wire was still hooked up and it wouldnt start at all.... jamey, I would just have him spend the $$ for a TORS removal kit and junk all that shit in there, that will help a lot. Yeah man, thats what I think he is gonna do.. Its just so anti normal for me to see something have spark like that and not run.. As mentioned before I know it can be other shit like Greg mentioned in the carbs or whatever but when it ran fine a couple hours previous to not wanting to even try and start, that tells me ignition.. ABL Posted April 28, 2008 Report Posted April 28, 2008 You could have a prob with the kill wire coming out of the keyswitch/button kill. I took my tors off and for some reason the tether quit working. The black red wire wasn't getting grounded anymore. TORS are thanx to evading lawsuits... Quote
