Yep...sure have. 1/8 and 1/4. But it was on stock bore/stroke ported 350s on gas...before cubs were even thought of.

34PJs and we ran a lower volume fuel pump.

Back then we figured out if you removed the front and rear fenders you could get 3-4 MPH and .2 to .3 off the clock, mainly by reducing all the wind drag.

(And I had hair and weighed about 50 to 60lbs less, too. Thanks for bringing back those memories...lol)

I spent my shop class hours in small engines in high school working on our banshees, dirt bikes, etc., while half the class was working on lawn mowers, tractors, snow blowers...etc.

I had two hours of vocational small engines in high school, went to lunch and came back to be the shop teachers aide....so, three hours at my disposal every day my Jr. and Sr. year....

Hell, did I say 50 or 60...it was probably closer to 70 lbs back then...

3 to 5 K for a motor, 150 for billet bowls. Pretty easy choice if you ask me.

Do I honestly think he needs them? I don't know. That's why I told him to run it down the track with the pingle only, in support of your idea.

And IF the pingle isn't enough, go with the bowls.

I can't say for sure if he does anymore than you can say for sure he doesn't.

Do you mean do I think I need MY billet bowls? With a fuel pump on my Lectrons, for 300feet? hell no.

Now...since i got the carbs for free, yes...free...and they work awesome...I see no reason to buy smaller bowls for them.

On the flip side. When I do take my bike to pavement...I know my fuel system will deliver enough fuel if I can get the gearing to pull the whole distance.

I make the 1/4 with fuel pump,Pingel,And billet bowls and you know what motor i have.I guess im just confident he wont need em since ive seen them in person go double that distance with only pingel.

Yeah...long story.

But bottom line is a guy on here and PS saw I posted I always wanted to try them, but they are big $$.

Said he had as set on his bench, new...by Packard, sitting there. Used once. He'd send them to me.

Wouldn't let me pay for them or shipping, they arrived looking literally, LITERALLY brand new.

I thought I was gonna get dog shit in a box...to be honest. I couldn't believe it. Been in love with them since...I had to buy a cable. So...for 50 bucks I got 650 to 700 bucks worth of carbs...:)

Guy said thanks for the help on the forums, pay it forward. So..I do my best to do just that.

Beyond classy. He overnight air'd them to me, tracking number...and they were packaged like fine China.

I smile every time I look at 'em.
