Stellar Performance Posted April 2, 2008 Report Posted April 2, 2008 Hey Lowbuck.....I can take care of the stem also. And most likely, if we are going more in the direction of dune/drag, with the frame mods I plan to do, Lights probably are not going to be nessecary. We can get other member feedback on that....but If I am gonna really cleanup the frame and lighten it up, then I would take the lights out of the equation. Maybe even the front brakes, I can lighten up those fron spindles too. Just a thought! Lets get some feedback on this from members. Quote
bansheerage Posted April 2, 2008 Report Posted April 2, 2008 (edited) i think the no lights cleanup is good but if the guy or girl who wins this beast lives in bum fuck no-where they might be assed out if they have no dunes to run it. i think keep the lights and if they want them chopped they can do it its not to hard. just my opinion oo by the way my premium membership is on its way. inthemail Posted April 2, 2008 Report Posted April 2, 2008 (edited) i say huck the lights. just ducttape some maglights to your bean. Edited April 2, 2008 by inthemail Quote
Animalman294 Posted April 3, 2008 Report Posted April 3, 2008 This is kinda cool when everyone gets involved to create a cool ride. I'll look into my box of parts from my rebuild and see what I have in the garage............. Quote

Stellar Performance Posted April 3, 2008 Report Posted April 3, 2008 HEY GUYS.......I need more input on the lights!!!! It would be nice to here from at least a dozen members on this topic. To Light or Not to Light.....THAT IS THE QUESTION????? If we are building more of a Duner/Drag Bike....that has out of frame drag pipes on it.....are the lights neccessary? I feel not, but that is only one opinion. LETS GET SOME MORE FEEDBACK GENTLEMEN!!!! Quote
okbeast Posted April 3, 2008 Report Posted April 3, 2008 Well since this is the ballin bike of the century, why not do some handlebar mounted lights that can be put on/taken off whenever. Would just take a few extra electrical connections...and of course the light mount, etc. Quote
00tbanshee Posted April 3, 2008 Report Posted April 3, 2008 i'd say do some kind of small after market lights like bigboybanshee has.here is a pic Quote
nayr742003 Posted April 3, 2008 Report Posted April 3, 2008 keep the brakes i think you never know who could win this bike and where they ride so brakes is an essential thing i think Quote
Animalman294 Posted April 3, 2008 Report Posted April 3, 2008 Ya, I agree with the brakes, the aftermarket lights aren't a bad idea either, but the brakes are a safety issue when someone else does something stupid and you need to shut it down in a hurry............ Quote
lowbuckracing Posted April 4, 2008 Report Posted April 4, 2008 HEY GUYS.......I need more input on the lights!!!! We can always trade these out of frame for some nice inframes, so its still a functional bike for everyone, dunner with a nice frame cleaned up.....J-arm to a-arm conversion..Lights would be nice...but they do need to be clean,no stockers...rear subframe like the style on your custom.....Let me know...Lowbuckracing Quote
Stellar Performance Posted April 4, 2008 Report Posted April 4, 2008 Sounds good guys. Keep the brakes, no problem. So it seems everyone thinks the lights are a must, but do we keep them in the stock location or move them up to the handlebars? Hit me up guys. Quote
