fastquad02blaster Posted March 22, 2008 Report Posted March 22, 2008 Just wondering if anyone on here had some yfz suspension laying around that they want to sell. After riding across the open flats at the dunes, I know that I need some different suspension. I heard that it will all fit with slight modification. Quote

I have a 07 yfz450se front a arms and the hi-lo speed adj shocks everything has 5 10hrs on it max. I upgraded arms and shocks. make offer. Quote
fastquad02blaster Posted March 22, 2008 Author Report Posted March 22, 2008 I sent you a private message. I didn't want everybody on here to see how much of a cheap a$$ I am. Quote
P-man Posted March 24, 2008 Report Posted March 24, 2008 What type of modifications do you have to do to get the yfz a arms to fit? How much wider are they? Quote
RagunCajun Posted March 24, 2008 Report Posted March 24, 2008 (edited) stay away from yfz450 front ends on a banshee. I have mine sitting in the shed because it's a piece of crap. It's too damn rough. The only positive thing about it is it widens the front and helps cornering over the OEM set up. Mine is going to sit in the shed until someone wants them for dirt cheap. The shipping would cost more than id prob sell it for. and i think it's right over +3 inches wider than stock. Edited March 24, 2008 by RagunCajun Quote

fastquad02blaster Posted March 26, 2008 Author Report Posted March 26, 2008 It adds 3 inches overall. Hey cajun, private message me and let me know on a price. Quote
RagunCajun Posted March 26, 2008 Report Posted March 26, 2008 well how much people sell them new for? just curious. i know i paid $475 for the arms and shocks. Quote
fastquad02blaster Posted March 27, 2008 Author Report Posted March 27, 2008 I was talking to another guy on here and he bought all new aftermarket for his yfz and he only spent $700 for it all. Quote
banshee21 Posted March 27, 2008 Report Posted March 27, 2008 I spent $350 for my a-arms, dual piston calipers, hubs, rotors, spindles, and shocks. all from an 05 YFZ. I personally love the setup but opinions are like assholes everybody has them Quote
FelixTheCat Posted April 9, 2008 Report Posted April 9, 2008 I agree with banshee21... I had some long travel elkas left over from my LT500...17.5" eye to eye...I did the YFZ a-arm swap...including the hubs, brakes and spindles. It handles GREAT! I mostly dune and the geometry is perfect for what I do...it's a little on the twitchy side so I might add a steering damper. I traded some old LT500 parts for my setup...so it was a very cheap upgrade with great results...I think the key to getting the setup correct is using the right length shocks...which are 17.5" eye to eye...the stock YFZ shocks are to short for the YFZ a-arm swap...and it only widens the front a tad over 2".... 2003LimitedBanshee Posted April 10, 2008 Report Posted April 10, 2008 It adds 3 inches overall. Hey cajun, private message me and let me know on a price. Actually total width change is almost 4.5", just short of 2.25" per side. Thanks! Quote
