Its a great chassis...but needs an HJR motor to be the perfect duner!

I have an HJR 421 Cub with aggressive dune port :thumbsup: I ran it one trip with stock swinger...it was fun...but unable to use more than 1/4 the power! Went with a swingarm shop +6. I can now use all the power for duning but the front still comes up at will in any gear...just more controlable...if you plan on dragging a lot...go with at least a +8"

No worries Butch...I'll nude leg wrestle Kev for the Deer meat :laugh: I did get a +6 swinger...my daughter helped me install it! Just waiting for the longer chain to get here...I'll get some pics for you from this trip...but yes...I'm still working my tab with Kev off... :thumbsup: When is the next trip out here going to be? We are planning a Jan 10th weekend for Kevs B-Day...it's usually a big family trip...at Buttercup...come join us!

The HJR Crew will be out at Glamis this weekend! The 5th early am through Sunday the 7th... we'll probably be out around wash 6-7...come by and say hi...have a beer and hang out...

If you go with a port job bu Kevin at HJR then nothing shorter than a +6! You'll still be able to dune with it...

All politicians are idiots! No matter who or what party is in office/power...wouldnt it make sense to work together for the better of the people/country? When in the existence of politics has that ever happend? All these guys do is drag each other through the mud instead of coming up with ways to solve the problems in this country...

Grim, Use the first one...but take out the cartoon chicks and put a set of jugs on one side and the checkered flags on the other...lets see what that looks like....

Now that I'm looking at closer...I agree...lose the girls and replace them with jugs...or jugs on one side and checkered flags crossed on the other...

I'll be running an HJR dune ported :wink: 421 cub with 39s a dunable N-5 override with lockup and the shearer in frames and an HJR NOSS head on pump gas...should be a fun motor....on a stock swingarm... :woot: Get that fan fixed...should be a great trip....

Although I've heard great things about all the builders mentioned in the above posts...I'm partial to HJR...you wont find faster turnaround time,better customer service or porting than Kevin will give you! Kev is the man!

That was a FUN trip out to Glamis! A great ending to a day of riding,wrenching and drinking beer! Oh..and cant forget the feasts we used to have!

KEV is the MAN! He stands behind his work like no one else! He wouldnt let you be disappointed!

I was running an HJR aggressive dune port with stock carbs,pipes and head...I pulled the crank to weld before doing more mods and it was already showing signs of pulling apart...and I know for a fact it was a used but low millage well taken care of quad...but then again...Kevins porting puts out POWER...even with stock pipes,carbs and head! So yes...pull the crank check the tolerances and weld it up...

I dont know anything good or bad about white knuckle...but i've known Kev for 20+ years...his knowledge and workmanship/motor building skills are second to none! I'd go with HJR!

Its mostly from the elkas...17.5" eye to eye...and the tires I run are taller then most tires with the same numerical size... but they are stock upper and lower yfz arms mounted in the stock banshee locations...I'm also using the yfz spindle/hub/brake assemblies... it has a bit of neg. camber which gives it better steering through the dunes...
