shudakeptquiet Posted March 10, 2008 Report Posted March 10, 2008 I'm looking to do a fast trail port. I've tried to search, but found limited information on who's the man to go to for port work. What's the board concensus on who to go to for this type of work? Anybody ever use Banshee Boyz in AL? TDR, who's fairly local to me, wants 5 weeks turn around time!! Quote
Bansh-eman Posted March 10, 2008 Report Posted March 10, 2008 Give Kevin at Herr Jugs Racing a call. He will setup you up with a good job and a very reasonable price. His turn around is great! pm him on here KEVSWS6 let him know i recommended you, he will take good care of you Quote

TexasBansheeMan Posted March 11, 2008 Report Posted March 11, 2008 No one yet to mention FAST? Not to thread jack, But I have never paid to have a port job done. I have always done it myself or bought something already ported. From what I hear here we need to have a Dyno Shootout! 1 Bike 3 sets of jugs 1st: Herr 2nd: Flotek 3rd: F.A.S.T. Each with a Dune port and 19cc domes running 34mm carbs. See who can pull the best power out of the same bike. Sorry to jack, but I have wondered the same thing. Quote

dajogejr Posted March 11, 2008 Report Posted March 11, 2008 There are a million engine builders out there. All this thread is going to do is name everyone's favorite engine builder here. And for most people, it's the only person they've ever had port a motor. Here's my advice, twofold. Call them all...call some more. See who: 1. Treats you right 2. Answers the phone or calls you back quickly 3. Answers your questions, but asks questions in return about your budget, riding style, locale, etc. 4. Pricing, you get what you pay for. Lastly, support those that support our site...our vendors... Who pay for advertising from money they've charged our members. Putting back in what they're getting out from the site. Quote
