  1. I have a coil and wires that i'll sell, $125 shipped. If your interested let me know.
  2. Ok will do, thanks for the advice.
  3. Ok I will use the small cut off wheel, now another question is after you cut them, where do you put the cut part, towards the motor or towards the clutch cover?
  4. Ok, now how is everyone cutting their springs? I just attempeted putting one in a vice and using a hacksaw but there's got to be a better way.
  5. Nice, thanks for sharing that.
  6. I actually ditched the slingshot for a reg DD lockout. Thanks for that info, just ordered a bunch of springs.
  7. So nobody has any ideas on what other springs I can try? As for as banshee springs go I have, vesrah, Barnett, ebc, stock oem, and tusk. Just looking to give myself a lot of different springs to be able to tune this clutch...any ideas?
  8. Is this still available?
  9. I am looking to know what clutch springs from other bikes will work with the banshee, just wanna get as many as I can.
  10. Ok sorry it has taken me so long but I have been busy. Here are some pics to show how I am measuring. I will say I was off with me saying they were at 20 lbs per spring, after re-measuring they are at 25 lbs per spring at the installed height which is giving me 100 lbs of total base pressure.. As you can see I run a slingshot type of lockout. I am measuring from the where the spring bottoms out, to the top of the spacer which is 23mm.
  11. Yes I have ran this setup last year, it's 4 stock springs. I measured everything a few months ago and maybe 20 per spring is wrong, I didn't write anything down because it was the end of the race season and I knew I would be re-doing this again come march/april. I will re-check re-measure everything this week and see where it's at.
  12. Hmm, I guess I better re-measure and re-check.
  13. I am getting that number by measuring the installed stack height, then using my spring tester, each of my springs are 20lbs at the installed height.
  14. I am currectly running 80 lbs of base pressure with 4 springs. I want to go down to like 70 and see what it does. I dont really like the idea of cutting springs cause I feel they will never have the exact same pressure. What type of springs could I try that are weaker then stock springs?
  15. Well in that actual pic I personally think they are 16's because if you look at 4 paddles, they take up 1/4 of the tire, but it could be just the way it's making it look. Either way the guy is doing something right and he is above the rest, good for him. I look at pics all the time of fast bikes searching for clues lol
  16. I got my info from a few pics i have seen. I guess I am wrong but it sure looks like its more then 14 paddles.
  17. I do agree that the original poster should look at the bikes at the track he will be racing at and see what they are running, that would be the smartest way.
  18. If your talking about Jay Menz bike, yes he did beat Robs record but a lot of things come into play there. For one, his bike is like 220lbs ready to run, his jockey was a female weighing less then 100lbs, and it's a riggid chassis, Rob at rdz did it with a stock chassis I am going to guess weighed somewhere between 260-280 range, and with a heavier jocky. And just for the record Menz runs 16 paddle extremes not 14's. I just like you, was just giving my opinion to the original poster. I didn't want him to buy a tire that is not aggressive enough (my opinion based on my exp) heck we have drag blasters here that run 12 paddle extremes. I am not trying to disagree or disrespect anybodys opinion here, just saying what works for me, that is all.
  19. I am not saying I am faster then everyone else, the original poster asked about a 10mm cub setup which is exacty what I run, so I am just giving my opinion of what works best for me, that's all, nothing more nothing less.
  20. The picture above is the chassis and 18 paddle extremes I run, I have great success with them.
  21. Back in the day I used to run 18 paddle extreme stags 24inch tire 78 RO on a stock chassis with a 421 cub. Now I have a riggid chassis with a 465 cub and I am running 18 paddle extreme stags with a 20 inch 70 RO tire and the smaller tire really helps down the track while keeping the 60 ft the same.
  22. They were 72ro 22inch 14 paddle stags extremes.
  23. I could never 60ft with 14's or smaller, used to spin them till 100ft.
  24. No, they are staggered extremes, is this post about 300ft drags or is it a duner?
  25. I had bad luck with 14's, not enough tire for me, im currently running 18's and they work great, but that's what works for me.
