Snopczynski Posted February 21, 2008 Report Posted February 21, 2008 you have to loosen the ball joint bolts and then tap the side of the spindle with a hammer to get it loose. Dont jam a ball joint remover in there, you will ruin the boots, then you cant resell the arms on ebay. Quote

yamaha04 Posted February 21, 2008 Report Posted February 21, 2008 easiest was would be put the arms back on then undo the bolts for the ball joints and hat the spindle that the ball join goes through with a hammer a couple times this will release them and should pop out. if you have no idea what im talking about buy a clymers manual for the banhsee Quote
1.6i Posted February 21, 2008 Report Posted February 21, 2008 yup tap it with a hammer on a solid part of the spindle theyll come loose..hit it with the castle nut on, just in case your aim is not so good you dont hit the threads....you shouldnt have to use much force though so... Quote
Lepew Posted February 22, 2008 Report Posted February 22, 2008 You will beat up your spindles beating on them to remove the tapered stud if it is tight. A better way to remove them is get a few different lengths of 1/2 bolts and a couple of nuts. Thread the nut on the bolt fit it between the tapered studs in the spindle and back the nut off pressing the tapered stud out. If they are really tight and you feel you might distort the threads on the tapered stud, put force on the stud with the bolt and nut and use a aluminum or brass drift and hammer to tap on the side of the spindle perpindicular to stud. The small impact is usually enough to get it to let go. Quote
