  1. Hi all, I've been using a 10W40 tranny oil instead of the reccomended one, is that a problem? Should I rather buy the reccomended one? Thanks
  2. Oh Iam sorry man, I was tired and thought that you had +4 swinger, which would be indeed retarded for mx, +4 axle and +2/+3 a arms are fine for mx of course.
  3. +4 axle for mx is absolutely retarded
  4. Yeah I've read that too about the magnet coming loose, I won't use it. But while tapping a bigger thread, Iam afraid of few pieces of metal getting into the tranny..
  5. So I was changing tranny oil in my shee, and I replaced the stock screw(on the bottom of the cases, when changing oil I remove it and the oil flows through the hole, I put it back in and fill with new oil), I replaced it with some super duper screw from ebay with magnetic end. The fuckers said it was for banshee, but I screwed it in and realized that it has a little bit different thread, so I removed it and now the thread in the hole in the cases is fucked, and the stock screw is impossible to tighten - I hope you know what I mean. How to fix this? Helicoil? If so, which size or type? Thanks
  6. I have removed tors, I haven't lubed the cable (it's in "protective hose", it is impossible to lube, isn't it?) It get's never stuck, unless It get's in contact with water..
  7. Yes, I have stock carbs. I have lid on, with holes drilled in it. Whenever I wash my shee, I ducktape the holes in airbox lid, so absolutely NO WATER AT ALL gets onto the air filter (I use KN w/ outerwear). So you are saying I should invest in new carbs for safety reasons? Which ones do you reccomend, and which size? Stock? I don't want to increase mileage. Right now I have these motor mods: Timing plate +4, kn airfilter w/ holes in lid, toomey T5's,
  8. Whenever I either clean my shee with high-pressure water cleaner, or ride through deep water and then ride, first 10 minutes the throttle gets randomly stuck. When I wash my shee and wait 24 hours before riding, it does the same thing. What causes this? Where gets the water and it's not supposed to? Are the slides in carbs causing this? And my second question, when I have opened the fuel valve, and accelerate, it bogs and backfires and dies - I suppose it's not getting enough fuel through. When I switch to reserve, everything works fine - should I remove the fuel valve and clean it? I can't imagine how it could get dirty... Thanks!
  9. what a feedback, some people are idiots :-/
  10. The 1500$ price includes lt quadrate shocks AND janssen lt a arms. I have that setup, got it for 1200 from ebay, and I absolutely love it!
  11. How old is the LSR swingarm? Does it have rear skid plate mounts? Might be interested
  12. well yes, but I didn't buy them directly from jassens, but from ebay as a kit with elka shocks... And the bent was caused because of crash, no error in material, I'am afraid that the won't send me new ones for free... But I can try and send them an email... If you have some experience with bent arms and warranty, let me know if you got new ones...
  13. Hi, I just bent my jannssen racing LT a arms :-( and Iam lookingfor new ones. Which ones do you reccomend? I wasnt extremely satisfied with the janssen ones, shitty ball joints etc... I had +2 ones, would you reccomend me buying +3 ones? I ride mostly fast trails and woods... And which brand? I prolly wont buy janssens again... I was thinkink about laegar's, what do you think? They cost about 760$ on sale now... And I can choose whether I wan +2, +2+1 or +3 ones... Roll design looks super sweet but unacceptable price (1350$=-O) Thanks
  14. Hi, I need to know Part number of the yamaha kickstart rebuild kit.. My kickstarter makes a rattling noise while riding... Thanks
  15. Hi, I recently purchased this intake adaptor for my kn filter, because the stock made from cut sceleton of the stock filter is starting to break: But I have problems while installing it, should I drill two holes to the airbox and put there the screws through the airbox and adaptor? And It doesn'tfit perfectly, so I'am afraid of air leaks, because It's just one piece of plastics, no foam seal like the stock one... How to install it properly? Thank you
  16. Well, I love my shee and I intend to keep it, I won't be racing profesionally, I have my shee mostly for trail riding with my friends..
  17. Hi all, next year I plan on racing in the local series of events called "offroad marathon". It's a 2hour race on about 5min laps, XC to MX like. Sometimes the tracks get very muddy or very dusty, any tips for that? Ie what to do to prevent my shee from overheating, when the space in front of the radiator is full of mud? An example what the race can turn into: Thanks for any tips...
  18. We all know that the yfz450 in stock has far better suspension than banshee etc etc. Iam just curious, if you compare a fully built shee (ie elka long travels front and rear, wider axle, wider LT aarms, steering stabilizer, +2 antivibe stem, fasst flexx handle bars, foot pegs relocated down and back) vs yfz450 with the same amount of handling mods? Does that lower the difference in XC/MX? Thanks
  19. Hello, I have noticed that when I giggle with he shee, Its shaking like 3mm in the place of the right axle bearing in the carrier. I hope you underestand what I mean :-) I guess my bearing is kinda fucked, I have already ordered new ones, but the question is, can I keep riding the shee until I replace them without any risk? Everythinks seems to work fine, except for the play in the bearing carrier on the right side. I have tightened all nuts, so thats not the problem. Thank you
  20. Wow, I can ride about 110km (75miles), 20km on mx track rest woods! On stock tank.. You are doing it wrong :-D
  21. I'd prefer the steering stabilizer mounting on the bottom of the stem, not on the top under bars... Thank you
  22. Hello all! I really hated the stock pegs position. Too forward and up. My shee isn't HarleyDavidson chopper! So I bought IMS pegs for blaster. These are greeat pegs, but they are not lower than banshee stock pegs and are only a little bit closer to rear. So I fabricatedd this thing: It came out pretty nice, now it's much easier to change sitting/standing position, plus while standing and accelerating I no longer feel like a monkey climbing a tree, but like on a mx bike. I reccomend the same to everyone who doesn't only want to sit on his shee all the time.
  23. Well ut the scotts is designed for the stock steering stem. I have the lonestar +2 antivibe stemfor fat bars plus fasst felxx fat bars, so it wouldn't fit...
  24. Hi all, To reduce arm fatique etc. Ive already bought a +2 antivibe steering lonestar stem, and fasst flexx handlebars. The handlebars almost doesnt shake anymore, but sometimes when I ride fas throught trails etc, I hit some rocks and it turns handlears fastly which causes instability and shock to my arms. I hope you underestand what I mean :-) Ive heard that elka steering stabilizer should solve this problem. Do you have any experience with it? Is it worth the 500$? And what is the diff. between system 3 and system 5? Which one is better for me? I ride mostly trails, woods, occasionally mx... Thank you
  25. Well I have had janssen LT a arms setup for about half a year, installed by-eye somehow how it fits... Yesterday I saw this very useful how-to topic: http://www.z400central.com/invision/index....showtopic=64313 Adjusted my a arms properly, and wow! So MUCH less bump steer and so MUCH more traction, and overall the front end works much better now! I hghly reccomend setting your front end correctly to everyone!
