bigboybanshee Posted February 21, 2008 Report Posted February 21, 2008 You can compensate with tires for lack of swingarm length. If you want to run a shorter swingarm, run less paddles (say a 8 or 10 paddle) and you'll spin more than hook. You don't necessarily have to get a longer swingarm to keep the bike manageable  You will love the difference though! You're not going to believe how much more power those 4mil cubs have over stock cylinders, especially if you're going from stock port stockers to cubs, LOL, you better grab a diaper for your first trip on it! Quote
RIPPEN Posted February 21, 2008 Report Posted February 21, 2008 LOL yeah, you're probably right. Jeff asked me if my current bike was ported and I said no. He said, going from what you had to this new motor, you are in for quite a nice surprise. LOL I think that might be a gross misunderstatment Rippen, how long of a swinger do you run?? Iam running a +6.. I do allot of climbs, so I use the shit out of it there and it works good.. If I had a cub however the 6 probably wouldn't be enough for some of our climbs.. lol I have seen 4mill cubs of Jeffs run like RAPED APES.. You won't be disapointed, thats for sure... RIPPEN Quote
Handyman Posted February 22, 2008 Report Posted February 22, 2008 If you are going to want to jump I'd stick with the +2..My +4 swinger kept trying to throw me over the bars with a stock rear shock....It did buck me over the bars once and I ended up with a broken collar bone, 3 broken ribs and I was knocked out.....If you go with a +4 you could probably adjust the rear shock to be softer and more forgiving on the jumps...mine was set kinda stiff for the launches for drag racing.. Oh yeah... Lets put it this way.. With a stock shock and +6 swinger.. I refer to it as the "pogo stick" from time to time! :yelrotflmao: +6 is rough trying to jump, atleast I think so-lol Oh but I do have a mutual friend with Jeff that aint skeerd to jump his +6.. RIPPEN Quote
