I need to get a torque wrench, a table vice, and a few other tools.

I dont plan on getting too mechanical with the banshee, but I would like to know what you guys suggest for a beginner.

I dont have a very large workspace, and right now only have your basic tools.(hand drill, sockets, wrenches, etc)

I have never even used a torque wrench.

Right now, my new installs will be the advanced timing plate (which I dont have an impact wrench), and tors removal.

any help at all would be greatly appreciated.

Milwaukee 0779-20 V28 Lithium-Ion 1/2-Inch Cordless Impact Wrench

The new ithium-Ion tools are awesome, super light and work great, I dont kno if it gonns to be a good tool to use on the shee though..

You better off buying a compressor and a bunch of impact tools, Youll have them forever and you will find yourselve getting more and more use out of them..

hell ya, that's a sweet electric impact. However, a compressor with an air impact is probably the better way to go. Albeit more expensive, they are probably the most useful all around tool in the garage, beaten only by the BFH.

if your gonna buy pnuematic tools go with Ingersoll Rand, very nice tools and they have balls!! no joke. and what everyone else said for basic for your shee.

Theregoes his mod budget.

IF you are looking for air tools go get some harborfrieght tools. they are cheap and will be enough to do what you are doing. I wouldn't buy any torque wrenches or comp tester there, but I have used one of their cheap impacts for 5 plus years. If it does ever crap out It cost me $15 (although I do have some nicer ones I use the cheap-o one the most)

That Actron compression tester is a nice one for the price. As far as the impacts go, they are for disassembly only and the electric should be fine on your shee. It is nice to have compressed air to blow out carbs, clean parts ect. Do what your budget allows, I swear by Ingersol Rand pneumatic tools...but I make a living with them. For the do-it yourself guy at home the cheaper stuff is hard to beat. As for pulling your flywheel to do your timing plate, you're going to need a flywheel puller...rockymountainatv has them for @ $15. An other option is to have your dealership pull the flywheel for you, it would cost a lot less then buying all of those tools. It's your call, how much are you going to use these tools???

I've seen two cheapo Actron testers that were purchased at Murray's or Autozone and they were way off....

Craftsman makes a nice kit, and...if you got the loot, Snap On, MAC or Matco is the way to go.

The Actron you linked doesn't look too bad, not like the cheapy's I've seen....

Load yourself up with Metric open end, box end wrenches. 6 and 12 point if you can afford them, metric sockets, short and deep.

yes, thanks for the responses guys. All tools will be used on my bike for the next couple years. Once I can afford a house and garage I'll buy a nice air compressor and much nicer tools. I just wanted the basic stuff to get the job done now. I already ordered the flywheel puller from Jeff at FAST and he told me an impact would make removal much easier.

Thanks again

i have that milwalky impact gun and its great , i was amazed how strong it is . i also have a air compressior and air impact gun and i use the electric gun alot more just becuase its faster and i dont have to start up the compressior to take off one bolt , but i use the air for the bigger jobs .

just to let you guys know that ingersole rand has 2 lines of air tools , one is made in china and the other in japan (i think ) . one is great and the other isnt .
