Cory9584 Posted February 1, 2008 Report Posted February 1, 2008 I constantly check the bike over anyway and im trying to clean up the bike and simplify things, so is the coolant tank really needed? Quote
Bansh-eman Posted February 1, 2008 Report Posted February 1, 2008 no you can get rid of it and route the hose from the radiator down the frame. Quote
wacko2000 Posted February 1, 2008 Report Posted February 1, 2008 Mine has filled and emptied on occasion..Alot of people dont run them, I mounted mine in the front of the bike and shortened up the hoses..I havent had a problem..You cant see it and it makes worken on the carbs and airbox alot easier...I may have a pic somewhere if you want to see where it is mounted...I just used some zip ties.. inthemail Posted February 1, 2008 Report Posted February 1, 2008 DONT FORGET TO CHECK YOUR COOLANT!!!!! lol chuck it. its garbage and sucks up HP Quote
Bansh-eman Posted February 1, 2008 Report Posted February 1, 2008 so if u take it off what do u do just check the radiator every now and then? i checked mine every time i went out. after about the 50th time of the fluid not dropping one bit i stopped checking it all together. when i took the motor out last year to rebuild it was still full Quote
foxracing350 Posted February 1, 2008 Report Posted February 1, 2008 intresting i always thought u needed it if i leave the lines where they are will any coolant come out? Quote
Bansh-eman Posted February 1, 2008 Report Posted February 1, 2008 intresting i always thought u needed it if i leave the lines where they are will any coolant come out? no the top line was the one from the radiator cap area. then the other was a return. or vice versa. either way if your bike over heats it will spit the fluid out the rad hose near the cap. so you want to run it down your frame and secure it so it wont get on u.
