fitz18 Posted December 7, 2007 Author Report Posted December 7, 2007 Ive been researching this topic non stop. I havent really found any solution but I think I will go up in the main and do a plug chop that way. Then I can be sure Im not running lean and cause any real damage. Then Il take it from there. Jetting sucks ass!!!! lol Quote
Bansh-eman Posted December 7, 2007 Report Posted December 7, 2007 there has to be something besides your jetting, either a clogged carbs or a leak or something. Quote

What makes you think it could not just be jetting banshee man? Ive cleaned the carbs twice and am confident there is not dirt in them. Where would the leak be? How would I know what to look out for? How would I know what to look out for? got a spary bottle with some soap and water and start hitting all the surface areas with the motor running. look for bubbles. it just dont think its your jetting becasue your running the same jetting as 95% of the guys with the same setup and have no issues. and Mark ran that same motor with zero problems. did you ever get a chance to do a leak down? Bobby Banshee Posted December 7, 2007 Report Posted December 7, 2007 What's your size on the pilot jet????? Just curious, i'm having bogging issues as well. Quote
fitz18 Posted December 7, 2007 Author Report Posted December 7, 2007 What's your size on the pilot jet????? Just curious, i'm having bogging issues as well. Its standard. Im pretty sure they are 25 standard. then the go up in 2.5's so the next one is 27.5! Some one will correct me if Im wrong. Quote
Bansh-eman Posted December 7, 2007 Report Posted December 7, 2007 (edited) mine came with 27.5 in there move your pilot to that and do a leak down...... Edited December 7, 2007 by Bansh-eman Quote
akita8 Posted December 8, 2007 Report Posted December 8, 2007 I'd try 1/2 out on the airscrews to see if that makes a difference. Quote
xXBlessedWithDeathXx Posted December 9, 2007 Report Posted December 9, 2007 i would look to see if your boots are cracked where the boost bottle connects. i seen this more then once. it was the side closer to the cylinders. even if you spray the area with starting fluid wile the shee is running. if it idels high after you spray they are or 1 of them is cracked and your are sucking air causing it ti run lean. you can also use a propane torch (UNLIT) just turned on running it over your engine to look for a change in idle. 2strokespirit Posted December 9, 2007 Report Posted December 9, 2007 Ok, looks like you've tried everything on the jetting, now an od question, Are your reed petals sealing? Do you have stock reed valves? If you have stock reeds, do you use the metal reed stoppers on them? Maybe one of the reed plates have come loose? Check you reed valves. Quote
