Bansh-eman Posted November 15, 2007 Report Posted November 15, 2007 i have never seen or heard of a collapsable subframe. but yes you can most certailny cut th old sub off and replace it with a new one. draggers do it all the time. tyson and a few others in mich. do that all the time. Quote
inthemail Posted November 15, 2007 Author Report Posted November 15, 2007 freakin sweet. so nobody sells these as made just weld tabs sorta deal? Quote
KEVSWS6 Posted November 15, 2007 Report Posted November 15, 2007 Off subject here but I love my 140cc Lifan motor. Put it in my old CT90 Honda. Have over 3,000 miles on it. Do you have yours in inthemail? On subject...If you can weld its an easy job to do. Take some measurements of the old one. Hack it off. Use some chromoly tubing cut to size and weld it on. Quote
LiftdT4R Posted November 16, 2007 Report Posted November 16, 2007 I was always hoping someone might make a removeable subframe for a shee. Would be a nice project. Then whenever you bend it, which you will, you can just ditch it, and put on a new one. Quote
shanYE west Posted November 16, 2007 Report Posted November 16, 2007 I've seen a few removable subframes. I think Podos racing sells them. Quote

yfzdunejumper Posted November 16, 2007 Report Posted November 16, 2007 I had my sub frame made at GT performance (816-450-8580). I choose to have mine welded on for weight but you could make it detachable no problem. I also made a bolt aluminum one for my 450 Quote
