dajogejr Posted September 10, 2007 Report Posted September 10, 2007 The good thing is...by initially looking at it, the head is perfect, no pits, gouging, etc... The nikasil looks perfect too. Of course I can only look down into the bore as far as BDC, but...no scratches, grooves, etc. Now...the bad news. I had year old pistons from my 4 mil I could've thrown in just to finish out the season...of course, I tend to go a little crazy cleaning out the garage sometimes...so, they went in the trash I think. I'm gonna replace all the seals, get new pistons....and give her hell again.... Doesn't look like it's running too bad from the other piston...still pretty clean for almost 100 runs or so on the motor!! Quote

shanYE west Posted September 10, 2007 Report Posted September 10, 2007 my best pass of the day was the first pass off the trailer,it was 4.95.closest i got to that all day was a 5.01. well i guess i didnt get any sand in the motor. bumped the timing to +8 and OMG did it come out of the hole hard!! hopefully i can get back to the 4's at albright. They hardly ever let go on the intake side. As long as the crank is ok...I should be fine. I'll be working the phones tomorrow...I might just have to "send it out" for some....work....before Albrights.... Quote

I can tell you Hopper's 15 extremes pulled the best AND consistent times I've ran so far this year.... Brad hasn't run sand before...he's gonna have fun with trying to get it setup with gearing, tires, pressure...etc... Quote
