Satsol67 Posted August 6, 2007 Report Posted August 6, 2007 Well its nothing like the shee I had but for 150 bucks this will hold me over till I get another shee. Anyways I picked up a 1986 Honda 350X Atc for 150. It needs alot of work but I like project bikes. It needs a few things until I can tell what condition the motors is in. I think as long as the motor/trans and frame is in decent shape everything else can be fixed. ATC's is what I grew up on my 2000 shee was my first atv. I miss my shee like a bitch so maybe this will help for now. If anyone cares to see it let me know and I will post some pics. Ron Quote
. Posted August 6, 2007 Report Posted August 6, 2007 post some pics up 150 bucks is a good price as long as all the parts are there. A half ass beaten broken plastic alright running one goes for 1500 or so around here. 350x and 250R atc's were where it was at back in the day......I wish I never sold my 250R. I still get to ride it now and again, and at least it has a good home Quote
wesw Posted August 6, 2007 Report Posted August 6, 2007 buddy has 4 of them bikes, he is kinda 8up with them. one he just bought was mint, almost off the show room floor, one of the the previous owner beat the living shit out of it, bought it new in 86 and it still runs, its had a rough life, but it still fires up. i know cobra makes a pipe for it. dont know many other after market stuff im sure there is stuff out there. HiRoller Posted August 6, 2007 Report Posted August 6, 2007 Up until last year almost all of my dune buddies had 350X's and 250R 3 wheelers. They finally switched over to quads. First time I went riding in the dunes it was on a 200X I saw all the Banshees tearing it up and said "I want one of those!" Quote
Satsol67 Posted August 6, 2007 Author Report Posted August 6, 2007 Most of the stuff is there but it needs to be completely redone. I just won a few things of ebay yesterday so I can get the motor to run. It goes in all the gears so thats a good sign even though they had the front sprocket welded on. Its sad when a person will do dumb shit like that. I guess if you dont have a bolt that fits just weld it. Its not like that will ever need to be taken off. DUH! I didnt have a chance to snap some pics but I will after work today. I found the service manual for download so that will save me a few bucks and the guy I won the coil and kicker from has alot of parts that I need so maybe this wont be to expencive. I figure that even if I put 7 or 8 hundred bucks into it I should still be able to sell it for a grand or little more. Quote

DUH! haha know what you mean i had a 1991 kx 125, (picked up for free for spares) and whoever had it must have lost the oil drain plug so "who care oil dont need be changed anyway" and they welded the hole shut. but thats not all when i got it home i noticed that the was oil in the bike so i pulled the motor out and tipped it upside down into a drain pan and what comes outta the gearbox F@#$ING 2 Stroke oil. dumb arse Quote
