O.K., As most of you know, I have my drag bike "for sale". I also listed it on Ebay, Some jackass used the "buy it now", then sends me a email " sorry, wrong item, please forgive me not my intentions"

So WTF ??? Whats everyone`s opinions on this ??

Am I gonna have to pay the fees if I let this JACKASS off the hook, Let alone fucking up my auction ??

PLEASE post how you all would handle this situation........

I had the same problems with trying to sell my FZR on Egay...........People from out of the country would click on buy it now even though it was stated that sells to U.S. lower 48 only.

One thing that I have learned is, when listing big expensive items with a lot of pics and what not, the real expensive listings, I don't use a buy it now price anymore to avoid that kinda crap.

I just set my reserve at what I would be willing to sell for and when I get questions about the reserve price I will usually give it, or have it in the listing.

I also block all buyers with crappy feedback and out of country.

Egay wouldn't let me relist without being charged again on my bike.....I was really pissed !

I think it's free of charge when you relist an item if it doesn't sell.

Well if you let him off, let him leave you feedback, then nail him with a negative after that. As for now I would contact ebay and demand they suspend the guys account for messing around with your auction.

Yes thats one of the reasons I started trying to stay away from selling on Ebay to many jack ass's. You could leave him bad feedback but then he could do the same to you and ruin your feedback score. I think ebay should make everybody pay immediately or at least put a deposit down it would keep people from doing this

Drive over and take it out of his ass! I hate nonpaying bidders and buyers, happens way to much on egay<-(I like that). Chances are this isnt his first time at this and probably wont be the last.

i would say at minimum i would find out what egay is going to charge you and then make him pay you that amount.

if the guy is a jackass about it then i would make him pay the buy it now price.

Believe me, I have already considered driving there to take it out of his ass!!!!

I am gonna contact egay ( L like that one too) , and the little shit who placed the bid today.

Thanks for everyones input, I REALLY appreciate it.

Don, Ebay will not charge you for an item that got bid on and won by a deadbeat bidder.

Keep all of your records, emails, etc., together.

Make a call to them...they are actually very, very good with customer service.

It happens...

Now...the other side of that coin....

Call him man to man and see why he went through two or three confirmation steps to bid on it, then backed out.

I bet money got tight or the old lady but the kebosh to that....call him out on it and ask him the "Real" reason why...
