donny Posted July 24, 2007 Report Posted July 24, 2007 i recently changed almost all parts from a 2005 onto my old 93 shee cause i had the motor stroked ect, and anyways long story short the radiator whit cap removed is not staying full, plus it"s blowing the rubber stopper of a cap of my over flow tank under the seat and plastic causing anti freeze to drip onto my rear disk , also noticing that uparound my fuel tank lid is getting antifreeze very slightly blow onto it and tank plastic after riding it for lets say just 5 minutes or so any Idea"s anyone , do i have the hoses to the overflow resivor backward possibly , one of the hoses going back there have a tee in the middle looking like it would be water pump bypass outlet should that hose be the top or the bottom hose going into the overflow resavor???? THANK YOU FOR ANY HELP [email protected] Quote

THANK YOU FOR ANY HELP [email protected] You have something over-pressurizing the cooling system such as a failed water pump seal, head gasket, or cylinder bas gasket. That's really the only way you get the problem you have. :geek: Quote

FasterThanU90 Posted August 24, 2007 Report Posted August 24, 2007 well if it was a seal problem like said u could see it in ur oil and that would cause a loss in fluid. The charging and ingnition system shouldnt have an effect. this is weird.. is the head nuts all torqued to spec? is it smoking more than normal? Quote
FasterThanU90 Posted August 24, 2007 Report Posted August 24, 2007 the bottom hose should go to the pump top hose to head an little hose to overflow Quote
FasterThanU90 Posted August 24, 2007 Report Posted August 24, 2007 o i blew through ur post, ur using Anti-freeze u need coolant the T if i remember right is just crankase vent it should be going straight from the radiator top to the overflow Quote

BellicoseBanshee Posted August 24, 2007 Report Posted August 24, 2007 A friend had the same problem, blew the coolant reservoir bottle cap and coolant soaked the back of the bike. Pulled the head off and found a faulty O-ring. That is the only experience I have with your problem. Quote
