I'm not worried about the red light, it's not always about winning for me, I set personal goals to reach, winning is just a bonus.

Yep, 3.83, that was Frank...his bike is hauling ass!! Track is 300 feet. There are now a couple regulars running in the upper 3's, Chad hits 3.77 in the vid I posted of him, Mike Smith also ran a 3.86.

This is Frank's bike :notworthy:

We'd be glad to have you anytime you get a wild hair to travel! I have a place for you to crash only 40 minutes from the track...spare bedroom and a big couch, garage for the bikes

We have a lot of fun out there, I always have a good time watching the big bikes fly past me, lol

Unfortunately, the 60' and mph is not given on the slips. I'll have to wait until I get to the asphalt track before I'll know those details. I totally agree with you, I see the two more tenths of a second I'm after sitting there on the starting line, lol. A lot of my problem seems to be that I'm coming straight up and then going forward. I think I'm gonna lower my bar a little bit more and see how that helps

Yeah, don't think I'm being a dipshit towards you Trav....Just what I saw from the vids. What you're doing on that bike and moto combo, especially being in the heavy hitters club, is very...very impressive!!

Have you thought about taking a little weight off your lockup?? Maybe let it slip just a bit out of the hole?

Posted

LOL, I didn't think you were being a dipshit, that never even crossed my mind! I thought about taking some weights off my lockup, even Jeff suggested it. I had a whole bag of replacement weights that were lighter but have no idea where they went...folks have said that I could remove every other weight on there, but that just makes me nervous thinking about it

Considering what I have coming in the mail today, I'll probably leave the lockup the way it is, I'm thinking I might need that extra weight to keep the clutches from slipping

Thanks for the compliments, this bike WILL see teens with me on it, all engine.

You little bastard...you're gonna bottle feed that baby, I forgot....

That's awesome!!! I still can't believe that thing is 4.2's on gas...with a fellow big boy on it...sheesh.

Before you give it the hose, I'd remove every other weight just for the sheer hell of it, see what it does....

I agree you're gonna need 'em once you "laugh it up" on that beast....

I'd love to see a 3.999 on that baby!!!

Yeah, I agree. I am 250+ lbs running 4.11- low teens which isnt bad for a heavy guy. We are really interested in making a trip up sometime, Always nice to run with some new peaple for a change !!!!!!

What classes are you all running there ?? just trying to see if its close to ours at 550cc and down,551cc and up for the outlaw, and a heavy hitters class . Ours are all naturally aspired no nos rules, except for the 551 cc and up.

Let us know, and possible future race dates would be good too !!! Maybe even dajogejr could make a south run, while we make a north run and meet in the middle in Tenn. Thats half way from Mi. to Fl.!!!!!!

That's no fair, then Travis won't have to drive far....

I'd be stuck in Graceland....LOL.

Any big trips for this year is out....Silver Lake dunes (about 4.5 hours) is enough for me this year.

Being single with two dogs is tough, they're kinda like kids...gotta make arrangements for everything.

Hopefully by this time next year, I'm living with my girl...and she loves my dogs. Built in babysitter (hope she doesn't read this forum...LOL)

I'm all for a long road trip, just not this year....

My buddies, JT (badassbanshee479) just had a baby, and Bob (he's a 4 stroker, but...we still put up with him) just got into a new house....so, the road crew is gonna keep it local.

Hell, I'd rather drive down to have a few sodas with you boys more than anything....

do you know what kind of frame that is or where he got it from ?

Yesssir, I'm thinking of starting with a 30 shot and seeing how it holds. My new goal on the nitrous will be exactly what you listed, 3.999. I'd like to think it should hit lower 3.90's on the bottle but I'm going to try and be realistic with my goals for now

don, there are basically 4 classes that run up here, pro 350, pro unlimited, stock E.T., and a 5.30 and under class. All classes are double elimination except the 5.30 class, it's single elimination. I'm sure if there were more bikes coming up they could break the classes up some more, but considering that the regulars here have either a 350 or 10mil and bigger, on nitrous, those two pro classes work well. What sucks is I'm right in the middle...a little too fast and inconsistent for stock E.T., but too slow for the pro unlimited...but I hope to change that, even if I gotta switch the carbs to alky, something I really don't want to do....

Springhill runs every Saturday night, weather permitting. Races usually start around 7pm (juniors) then the pro classes, stock class, then 5.30 class. After all the classes are over, they let us grudge race out there till we're out of fuel or too tired, lol. I've ran till 2 in the morning before

If anyone is interested in maybe trying to setup a race night, i can talk to the track owners and see if we can have a "pro" night where they cater to the big bikes, make a few new classes and cut the track a little deeper where we could run paddles. Anything's possible, hell, I may ask them about doing this anyway

Quick16 chassis. Damien is the builders name. I can get you contact info if you're interested in purchasing one. His frames are top notch, the welds are superb quality. There are a couple of quick16's chassis running at our track and they're the top performers.

Here's Frank's 350, just some more eye candy :notworthy: It's naked in the pic, but he has a set of black plastics for it, just like his big bike
