shee4speed Posted May 29, 2007 Report Posted May 29, 2007 I was at the cinders this weekend and while going up 100 dollar hill (really big ass hill).I get about 75% the way up and the motor dies.Like it just runs out of gas.Any ideas? Quote
r/atvshee Posted May 29, 2007 Report Posted May 29, 2007 Probably overheated, or the bowls ran dry. I would never take my banshee up that hill even if its built. I dont think its worth putting an exspensive motor through all the stress from going up that hilll. Quote
RIPPEN Posted May 29, 2007 Report Posted May 29, 2007 You guys got a pic of this hill your talking about? If its so long and tall people won't even atempt to climb it, I would like to see what it looks like.. RIPPEN Quote

Bansh-eman Posted May 29, 2007 Report Posted May 29, 2007 doesnt really look all thqat bad in the picts, maybe its differant in person Quote
shee4speed Posted May 29, 2007 Author Report Posted May 29, 2007 Yeah this is a long ass haul to get up there.3rd gear half way then 2nd.I will check my float levels.Other banshees get up there and don't die out. Quote
Animalman294 Posted May 30, 2007 Report Posted May 30, 2007 Its not just the float you may be suckin' the fuel out of the bowls faster than the tiny stock tube and petcock can fill them and the go dry and you in turn run out of fuel. I was afraid of doing that so I got a Pengel for $70 and larger bowls and now I don't have to worry about it............. But it was specifically for long runs like that or just tearin' across the dunes at WOT................ Quote
shee4speed Posted May 30, 2007 Author Report Posted May 30, 2007 I thought maybe the flow was clogged on the petcock, so I tried it on reserve and it did the same thing.Where do you get the Pengel? Quote
r/atvshee Posted May 30, 2007 Report Posted May 30, 2007 You can pick one up from R/atv. They should have them in stock Quote
shee4speed Posted May 30, 2007 Author Report Posted May 30, 2007 Allrighty then.I'll have to go grab one of them. Quote
r/atvshee Posted May 30, 2007 Report Posted May 30, 2007 Also, when you install it, put some sealant around the threads. And use alot of the sealant stuff that comes with it on the gasket and plate to keep it from leaking. Quote
KaosBanshee44 Posted May 31, 2007 Report Posted May 31, 2007 Bet it's a bitch to go up in person...lol Quote
