burleybanshee Posted May 20, 2007 Report Posted May 20, 2007 52 pilot and 158 main depending on how aggressive your dune port is. Should put you in the ball park. You can't run mikuni jet number sizing for pwk style carbs, espically the 28mm knock off's. Good carbs, I run them on my shee. Some people need to change the needle out to a lesser taper, but it has five slots so there is adjustment up and down. Quote
DGFUNNY70 Posted May 20, 2007 Report Posted May 20, 2007 When I was running stock carbs I had 350 mains and 27.5 pilots with a toomey style six clip needle in the fourth clip postion and the main might have been a tad bit fat but it ran great at sea level. I have now switched to the 30mm oko's and went riding yesterday. So far it seemed to respond best with 162 mains 52 pilot and a N68A needle in the 3rd clip postion. I plan to have it on the dyno this summer to see how close I'am becuase right now Not really able to go much faster than forth gear in the moses lake dunes (too small). My mods are in my sig right now I'm at about 1000 feet above sea level 65 degrees Ferinhit and pulling the front tires off the ground in every gear. Quote

Try a 52 pilot and 152-155 main to start.Running a dual stage foam filter and powerlid is pretty restrictive no matter how your ported.I ran K&N and powerlid with no outerwear. and I was at 150 main and 50 pilot, needle in the 2nd clip from top with PC pipes.Burned a perfect plug when you poured it to it.darkened up a bit on trails, but pulled good. The v-force will make your midrange a little fat.Needle adj will take care of that Quote
pokeatyou2 Posted May 21, 2007 Author Report Posted May 21, 2007 so do you guys think i should runn with out the powerlid? and also they arrived today i got 150 , 155 and 160 mains im not sure about the pilots so should i just start with 155s? Quote
