I would recommend the prolites as well. Quote
joneser4u Posted May 20, 2007 Report Posted May 20, 2007 Hot Rods and Prolites. This combo works very well for me! Quote
Snopczynski Posted May 20, 2007 Report Posted May 20, 2007 Everyone in my camp uses wiseco stuff period. Quote
joneser4u Posted May 20, 2007 Report Posted May 20, 2007 Everyone in my camp uses wiseco stuff period. Im running there pistons and clutchbasket. Cant say anything negative about them, they take my punnishment. Quote
Bansh-eman Posted May 20, 2007 Report Posted May 20, 2007 hotrods come welded, however its a good ide to have it re-welded. the factory weld arnt very good. Quote
shee rips Posted May 22, 2007 Report Posted May 22, 2007 vitos claims their superstock pistons add 6 hp. Is this realistic? Could similar results be expected from wiseco? normally i would just buy wiseco but if vitos add a bunch of power  Quote

Could similar results be expected from wiseco?normally i would just buy wiseco but if vitos add a bunch of power  I believe the base for that claim is that the super stock pistons have part of the piston head notched so it advances the exhaust port timing. A Port job and regular wiseco's are the way to go. Quote
woodwardspecialties Posted May 22, 2007 Report Posted May 22, 2007 i have only used vitos for a short time, however i have run many hotrods over the years... both seem to work well Quote
banshee(911) Posted May 22, 2007 Author Report Posted May 22, 2007 i think the vitos super stock pistons are shorter but with a stroker motor am i to look forward to piston slap cause of the degree of the crank Quote
Bansh-eman Posted May 22, 2007 Report Posted May 22, 2007 i dont recall the vitos being shorter.. how ever i know that the intake ports on the pistons have been opened up quite a bit from weisco pro lites. problem with this is if your clearances arent right you can get some play in the piston and casue it to hang on the wall Quote
