baddsheee Posted May 6, 2007 Report Posted May 6, 2007 I know it's not tranny oil because my oil on the dip stick is still light brown. The oil that is leaking is very dark. I think it is leaking from the exhaust, wondering if the shearers aren't in properly. I'm mixing at 40:1 (927), it leaks out of the silencers a bit onto my 6 pack rack. Is it known for the shearers to leak from the cylinders? Took it on a 30-35 mile ride yesterday and it still runs hard. Here are some picks. Need some help Quote
tomtunas Posted May 6, 2007 Report Posted May 6, 2007 Did you install new o rings? I have sheares too, and they dont do that. Quote

Does anyone suggest a different oil mixture than 40:1. I feel like trying 50:1, what do you guys think? Quote
locogato11283 Posted May 6, 2007 Report Posted May 6, 2007 i run 50:1 with klotz. your orings gotta be bad or wrong to be blowing that much oil out. make sure your jetting is right on too.. Quote
cam2 Posted May 6, 2007 Report Posted May 6, 2007 yep, it's your head pipe o-rings. my pipes used to leak like that on my cub cylinders. the ones that come with the shearers are slightly thinner than they should be. i bought a set of o-rings from Jeff at FAST and the problem went away, http://www.farmandsandtoys.com/partdetail.asp?partid=94 they fit tight so they are some what of a bitch to get on but they work. with a little 2 stroke oil and some ass they go on. baddsheee Posted May 7, 2007 Author Report Posted May 7, 2007 (edited) for some reason the new shearers have been doing that... mine , Polish , you and a few other peoples all have done it... polish called matt and he told him to get some hi temp silicon and run a bead in th pipe ... but it still did it on his... This kind of sucks, another issue I have is that the stinger is leaking through the weld of the part that connects to the silencer. Then the left pipe hitting the head, which I had to use like a dozen washers. Now this leaking at the cylinders, WTF :shoothead: . Also chrome is statring to chip :: Edited May 7, 2007 by baddsheee Quote
Bansh-eman Posted May 7, 2007 Report Posted May 7, 2007 yea the chronming on shearers blow... and pretty much everyone has to shim the left pipe.. you would think with this being a common problem matt would shift his jig to fix it but i guess not... you might call them about your weld leaking... they should fix that for you...
