Just wanted to show you guys ,, Have you guys got email like this ? 75% of the bullsh$t email I get are from Yahoo and the others are @rogers and so This is the email Dearest Beloved, I am Mrs. Victoria Williams Johnson from Sierra Leone. I was married to Late Chief Williams Johnson and he was a contractor with the government of Cote D'Ivoire and he also was exporting cocoa, caf Quote

crbanshee Posted March 28, 2007 Report Posted March 28, 2007 i get that crap all the time so i decided to reply to one to dig a bit deeper into the scam and find out what the real deal is. what happens is you reply and get this total sob story from them about how they moved to some 3rd world country to help build schools and other community related centers but when they were there they had a husband killed by a robber of cancer or some lame excuse. but now they cant take the 10 million dollars out of that country's bank unless it is donated or some stupid shit so they tell you they will pay you some stupid ammount of money (they told me 2.5 million when i replied) if they can wire the money to your bank account. all they need is your account number and routing number so they can complete the transfer, so just to see what happened i sent them an old closed account and routing number from an account i had a few years ago that was now closed. i contacted the bank to inform them that i would like to know if there was any current activity with that account and told them the whole deal. so what these people do is get some dumb retard to give them their bank info and they go in and suck your account dry. i was told by the lady that was going to send the money to my account that i had to have atleast $1,000 in the account to complete the money transfer because the government of what ever country she claimed to be stuck in had to have proof that there was a legit account with money in it. well less than 24 hrs after i gave the info i got a call back from that bank to let me know someone was trying to authorize to have $1,000 debeted from that account.. so yes this is a major scam and many stupid people fall for it and end up broke as hell in the end. i did a bit of reserch and the money goes into an account in some 3rd world country and from there is transfered to many other accounts (some times 10 or more ) and finnaly arives at its final destonation back home here in the states where from there it is imediately withdrawn and turned into free cash for some asshole stelling from good hard working citizens.. They followed the guy to Canada where they caught up with the scam artists and confronted them............... But its always the same thing, they have millions in a bank, but out of the blue they pick you to send it to, but they will need your bank account number first.................. Quote

Check out 419eater.com http://www.419eater.com/html/letters.htm The links to letters on that page are mostly how people said "you want my bank account? well send me __________ " and demanded weird things from the nigerians who are attempting the original email scam. It's hilarious to see that these nigerians are willing to do some pretty crazy carvings, artwork, etc. just to get that persons bank account... I love screwing over scumbag rip-offs. Quote

That is pretty much the funniest thing I have seen in a long time. For some reason I am compelled to read through all of the scam archives.
