tomtunas Posted March 16, 2007 Report Posted March 16, 2007 Does anybody remember the kenda nomad tire, it kind of looks like a paddle. Last time I seen them around was about 10 years ago. Wondering if anybody knows if they still sell them or still make them. Quote
nunyabinness Posted March 16, 2007 Report Posted March 16, 2007 is this what you are talking about??? if so, nope never seen them before in my life. lol. Quote
crbanshee Posted March 16, 2007 Report Posted March 16, 2007 i checked the kenda web site and they dont seem to offer that tire but it might be still avaliable for special order Quote
yamaha04 Posted March 16, 2007 Report Posted March 16, 2007 shit they dont look to bad i dont think they would be any good for trails or MX but for hill climbing and drag/dune im sure they would be alright Quote
tomtunas Posted March 17, 2007 Author Report Posted March 17, 2007 I'm looking for a tire that I can use in very sandy dirt some rough spots but no hardpact spots. I fear spending money on paddles and just ripping them off. The motor is a ported 421 cub. Any ideas? Quote

A friend of mine had those tires on his Blaster (about 15 years ago). Quote
nunyabinness Posted March 20, 2007 Report Posted March 20, 2007 i think those would be way too much tire for a blaster. tomtunas, i don't know what kind of shape the bead on these tires is in... but if they are still useable i might be willing to let them go. they are on what i believe to be a honda rim that looks like the previous owner put screws through (poormans beadlock?) pm me if you are interested in them and i will pull them off the rim and check the bead. ClimbAnyHill Posted March 20, 2007 Report Posted March 20, 2007 Damn, so those are some really old school tire there?? I've never seen anything like that. How long have you had them for Nunyabinness? They look in pretty good shape from here. Quote
87_shee Posted March 20, 2007 Report Posted March 20, 2007 I ran a set of nomads that a buddy gave me one summer. They gripped pretty good for being worn down. I used them in the local gravel pits and they worked better then any knobby in those conditions. I put them on my girls yfz this winter and they arnt half bad in the snow either. Quote
