Hey Guys Help. I am finishing up my winter project, basicly a complete rebuild. New paint and a rebuilt motor. I have a miss on the right side that i can't find. I have switched from right to left the carbs, reeds, plugwires, plugs , put in new plugs, put in different reeds . I have replaced the stator , timing plate and checked the gap on the pickup coil. The miss stays on the right side. Jetting is right on , left plug looks perfect, right plug always wet. :wallbash: :wallbash: We put a 4mm stroker crank in, Redline did the porting for the 4 mm. I had Dave (Noss) cut a set of domes. I have 160comp on both sides. Thanks for any help.

is it running smokey on the right side as well?

Sounds very similar to what's going on with my bike right now. If you can get a timing light to flash (mine wouldnt for some reason) check to make sure you're getting spark at the right time and that one of the two isnt out of time. If you dont have access to a timing light, try swapping the flywheel. A cracked magnet in the flywheel can apparently cause all kinds of bizzare things to happen. look up my post "Right side not firing" , it might help you out.

Unfortunately, this doesn't work for the banshee. It actually fires each cylinder at the same time...so each revolution, each side gets a "Dead" spark.

like Jr said. Both sides spark at the same time. I'd do a leak down test and check the exhaust to make sure nothing got in there.....My shee did something similiar to find my builder put a shop rag in the exhaust port on one side. I didn't see it, put the pipes on and only one side was running strong, the other side had wet plugs and not much air flow out the exhaust...Took me a couple of hours to figure that one out....

Did a Leakdown Test, will not hold any pressure at all. I pumped it up to 6PSI and the gauge drops like the second hand on a clock. I squirted soapy water on any visable areas , no leaks, where does that leave me , crank seals? or?

I would put money on the crank seal. check to make sure the nut that holds the small drive gear and water pump gear.Did not back off the pto side.

Pull the clutch cover off, clutch basket, etc. try the leak down and see if the crank seal is leaking....

One of my test plugs was leaking, I fixed that , now I have a very minor leak. I don't think it's enough to cause my wet plug on right side .Is it possible for my compression to be the same on both cyl and leak coolant into one of them?
