bigboybanshee Posted February 8, 2007 Author Report Posted February 8, 2007 Awesome, thanks!!!!! Quote
Snopczynski Posted February 9, 2007 Report Posted February 9, 2007 Awesome, thanks!!!!! I would try jetting just the carb before putting on a dial a jet. If your float level is low, that will cause the bike not to get enough fuel. Quote
3 Posted February 9, 2007 Report Posted February 9, 2007 Thanks Seat$$ i was like bigboy, all i could found was those kit with ugly long plastic hose. But the one form Vitos look real good Quote

3 Posted February 17, 2007 Report Posted February 17, 2007 Ok i received my intake, look pretty clean for a used one, but I need a thumb throtle cable, Bansheeseat$$ know that but he dont ship to Canada  Anyways, before i will order the cable and some stuff at the dealer i would like know what you guys think of how the carb is set so i will get some jet at the same time if i need some. I am at sea level, around 15F right now. Carb came with a 190 main, 52 pilot and DEK needle on the 3rd clip. Its pretty close to what you have first suggest, what you recommend to get as spare jet for now and summer? thanks a lot guys Quote
differentstrokes Posted February 18, 2007 Report Posted February 18, 2007 Your main will be close, but your pilot will probably be rich with an airbox. I say try a 50 and possibly a 48 pilot if that doesn't work. I'm at 1000ft and have a 48 pilot w/ 1 turn out on the airscrew and a k&n w/ airbox. It's around 20-30 degrees here. Quote
3 Posted February 19, 2007 Report Posted February 19, 2007 Ok thanks, about the airbox, i have two options the adaptor plate and a foam filter. So i will try it with the filter only but i think it is pretty small, about four inches long. I know it come with the kit, maybe i just find it weird because i am used to my big K&N filter. Do you ever tried that filter on your 2 in 1? Quote
differentstrokes Posted February 19, 2007 Report Posted February 19, 2007 Yeah, I had a UNI foam clamp on with a 50 pilot and 190 main. I don't like the filter being exposed for trail riding. Quote
3 Posted February 19, 2007 Report Posted February 19, 2007 Ok but was it a good setup? i mean that filter worked alright even if its small? Cant wait to try that carbs. Quote
bigboybanshee Posted February 20, 2007 Author Report Posted February 20, 2007 Well, I fixed my problem...I pulled the stock carbs out of retirement and put them on it, lol. Runs great now!! On the 2 into 1, I installed the power jet and was able to get enough gas to it so it wasn't lean, but I still had the problem with it cutting out by 4th/5th gear. It boiled down to the bowl was being sucked dry. Fuel petcock was clean, gas cap breather was working properly, everything checked OK on fuel delivery, but for some reason the bowl just wasn't filling up fast enough  I slapped the stockers on there w/ a 27.5 pilot, 310 main and it ran great last night. I still need to take it out and put a really long pass on it but I think I got my issue resolved....FINALLY! I just got tired of dicking with it, and with the weather warming up, I want to ride this bastard, not work on it, LOL So....my 2 into 1 setup will be for sale. 2 into 1 intake, 38mm Keihin PJ carb w/ adjustable power jet, Trinity CV airbox adapter, and pod filter for the carb. The carb also has a terry cable but you may have to re-tap your throttle assembly for it to fit properly. My threads were slightly different. PM me if anyone's interested, I'll also be listing this in the for sale section, with pics  Thanks for everyone's help along the way Quote
