trueraiderfan Posted December 6, 2006 Report Posted December 6, 2006 (edited) So I am totally rebuilding my bike (34mm pj's, vf-3's, cpi inframe drag pipe's, full drag port,) and i do quite a lil bit of drag racing. Thats not all I do, but I really like to do it. I also ride on the track a lil bit and in the woods just a tuch. I was woundering if this would be a good investment for what typ of riding I do. I think a lockup is a good investment on any bike that has any power.... Quote

jbooker82 Posted December 6, 2006 Report Posted December 6, 2006 Do the pancake bering mod too. That way the ball doenst weld to the rod. I could see that happening very easly on a drag machine. Quote
locogato11283 Posted December 7, 2006 Report Posted December 7, 2006 lockup is prolly gonna make it harder to shift under power. might wanna consider some shift mods or a duneable override of youre going with a lockup. Quote
Animalman294 Posted December 7, 2006 Report Posted December 7, 2006 I have the Direct Drive lock-up, but I also did like Loco said and had Jeff install the shift shaft mod. Between those and the modded shift star it will shift like butter. But the lock-up will allow your clutch plates to last twice as long............. Quote

snowprophet1 Posted December 13, 2006 Report Posted December 13, 2006 I am running the same setup as you dragracing, and have the pancake bearing, heavy duty springs and stock clutch plates and NO PROBLEMS! I have a lockup and didn't stick it on yet. Don't need it yet. Running on dirt and asphault. Quote
