3 Posted November 24, 2006 Report Posted November 24, 2006 Do you know that stuff?? i use it in my mountain bike tires and i was woundering if anybody ever use it in is Banshee wheels?? Quote
kubiac3 Posted November 25, 2006 Report Posted November 25, 2006 Ive never heard of it, if its like a fix a flat type stuff then yeah I use it. I use this stuff called Slime, its green and works amazing. Say you get a flat that shit moves right on in the hole and stops it from ever really going flat. Quote

kubiac3 Posted November 25, 2006 Report Posted November 25, 2006 Yea thats what i meant, that shit is actually magical though. Quote
Satsol67 Posted November 25, 2006 Report Posted November 25, 2006 (edited) The only problem with stuff like that is it makes the rims rust out from the inside. Edited November 25, 2006 by Satsol67 Quote
csrmel Posted November 25, 2006 Report Posted November 25, 2006 well then its a good thing our banshees all have aluminum wheels. actually, slime wont even make a steel wheel rust. only the aerosol type "fix a flat" ones will rust a wheel. Quote
Bansh-eman Posted November 25, 2006 Report Posted November 25, 2006 hummm... i wonder if the slime can have the same effect on aluminum as water with minerals in it though? not sure ... i know that thers alot of friction being created by the shit spinning around in there... but im not sure if it does the same thing or not... dosent really matter to me i dont use it Quote
Satsol67 Posted November 25, 2006 Report Posted November 25, 2006 ok sorry not rust but pit. When i got my shee the guy that i got it from ran fix a flat in them and i had to buy new rims because the rims were getting eaten through. Quote
BANSHEEMANIAC Posted November 25, 2006 Report Posted November 25, 2006 Yea thats what i meant, that shit is actually magical though. LOL   :woot: i about fell out of my chair! Quote
3 Posted November 25, 2006 Author Report Posted November 25, 2006 Thats pretty much it but its not like Slime. Stan's no tube is more liquid and it have little particules in it. Kinda like your garage handsoap with abrasive. So because it's more liquid it's like water in your tire and its just splash around until there is a leak than it seal it. I tried it yesterday in one of my tire that was leaking on the beading and the bead ring on the stock rim. It seams to work fine. Anybody has ever use it ?? what was your results ?? and i don't think it's corrosive like Slime, i've beel using it in my mountain bike tires and i i've never seen a trace of rust on my rims. Quote
