m3snowboarder143 Posted November 6, 2006 Report Posted November 6, 2006 Well My buddy came over with his r6 bike and we rode side by side on a backroad and he said i was going 83 as he road next to me. I was pretty close to topped out. Not much left. But I was impressed with my 97 shee. It has holeshot hd tires. Fmf fatty with powercores, trinity 2 to 1 carb, so I thought that was pretty good. Well than I let him ride it and he called me said it wouldn't start or kick. So I get there and the kick starter wont kick at all. Does it sound siezed? Quote
enFORCER Posted November 6, 2006 Report Posted November 6, 2006 Well, speedometers on sport bikes are notoriously inaccurate. And they always error on the + side. So if his speedometer says 83 mph, then most likely you were doing about 75 mph or so... And if the engine won't turn over, then it sounds like something is seized up. Quote
NYUK Posted November 6, 2006 Report Posted November 6, 2006 sounds about right for stock gearing. at least he didn t say 105 mph. like many many others. Quote
dajogejr Posted November 6, 2006 Report Posted November 6, 2006 sounds about right for stock gearing. at least he didn t say 105 mph. like many many others. Don't know what you're talking about.... If you put 20's on your banshee and let your friend hop on with you, it'll do 100MPH all day long....especially runnin from the po-po. :yelrotflmao:  Quote
White06Shee Posted November 6, 2006 Report Posted November 6, 2006 I dont know about bikes have Notorius Speedo Problems? The Only Time It Would Get Messed Up Is When You Mess With The Sprockets OR Tire Size Quote

enFORCER Posted November 7, 2006 Report Posted November 7, 2006 I dont know about bikes have Notorius Speedo Problems? Yes, well they do....If you pick up an issue of Cycle World or a similar magazine you would see that when they test a new bike they always give "speedometer error" in the specification's list. Quote
owmyeye Posted November 7, 2006 Report Posted November 7, 2006 With me and my buddy I can do 120 in 1st gear. Plus it has 22" spinners  Quote
dajogejr Posted November 7, 2006 Report Posted November 7, 2006 dajogejr I think the buddy makes it faster... I remember that post funny shit :yelrotflmao: Yeah, no shit... I think I need to do 100MPH to ride my bike to a buddie's to play video games. That kid needs a pedal bike and an Atari...and to sit in the corner of the room quietly... :yelrotflmao: Quote
LiftdT4R Posted November 7, 2006 Report Posted November 7, 2006 (edited) You guys mean my stock banshee won't go 100 m.p.h.? My dad's uncle's friend's co-worker's brother said he had a stock banshee that did a buck 10, so my stock banshee with a bad head gasket should do 100 no? EDIT: Shiat, now that I think about, my YZ does about 70 or so. Edited November 7, 2006 by LiftdT4R Quote
Handyman Posted November 7, 2006 Report Posted November 7, 2006 As you can see my mods in my sig.......Last week I went out for a ride on my shee and was gone for a long while. My wife came and found me and we had a bit of a race...me on my shee and her in her '01 mustang GT. Well It was a close race I lost by a car length.. She said that we were doing about 125...i only lost because i got tired of making the engine noise with my mouth......... Yeah i ran out of gas and she had to tow my ass home.... We got up to a whole 25 mph. Quote
Bansh-eman Posted November 7, 2006 Report Posted November 7, 2006 With me and my buddy I can do 120 in 1st gear. Plus it has 22" spinners  thats cuz the spinners add an extra 40 hp and 35 mph ! all that centrifugal force carries you along Quote
