I say this a person who has supported his country for the last 14 1/2 with active duty service. Nobody seemed to have a problem with Bill Clinton bombing Bosnia in 1995. Clinton didnt make it out that they had WMD's. he never sent large numbers of American troops too invade those places. he didnt have the oil industry bankrolling his administration. he didnt have madmen like Paul Wolfowitz drawing up plans on what America needs to do as a military power to preserve our oil consumption into the next century or corporate business men like Dick Cheney feeding him intel and ideas while being backed by the Halliburton Corp. to carry out the blue collar end of the deal shall we compare the Clinton Administration to the current one in every aspect? numbers dont lie.... Milososevic and i forget the other guys name, were killing people by the thousands!!! at that particular point in time, on par with what Saddam did 20 yrs ago. yeah, thats right folks the majority of what Saddam did to the Northern Iraqi's was in the late late 1970's and into the late 80's when the Iraq/Iran war was going on. if you want to make that comparison, why didnt Reagan step in during his 8 yrs? he could have put a stop Saddam then, when it was happening! but he had a better plan of backing Saddam against the Iranians and turning his cheak to the then on going genocide! and whoever made the comparison to Hitler, thats a good one!! this is not WW2, nor will it ever be. not even on the same page!! that is a completely different time with a completely different American way of life. with alot of leadership fuckups in between to shape a new American way of thinking towards who has power and how they use it! Mullet Man Posted November 6, 2006 Report Posted November 6, 2006 (edited) Saddam was so strangled by UN regulations in the 90's, the 10yr war with Iran and the 1st gulf war, that he was virtually a threat to no one. let alone the US. us invading proved that, with no trace of WMD's on a scale of what we were told to believe the Iraq situation is a fucking joke and alot of people, too many people, swallow it all without even chewing!! i must say tho, i am glad they are hanging him!! but it is odd that the verdict just rolled out with only a couple days until the mid term elections. just like gas prices dropping Edited November 6, 2006 by Mullet Man Quote
