  8. Thanks Crazy for your help. I haven't check it yet, maybe tomorrow, but I didn't know about the bowl specific part and I'm hoping this is my affliction. It sounds like this could cause a problem that I'm having everything runs good except cylinders not in sync & 1st cylinder needs the choke to run. Slides are on the right sides and the carbs were stripped down too except I didn't know about choke side bowl having a jet in the bottom. Thank you also for the link, I'll read it.
  9. I'd try some hot soapy water with a stiff plastic bristle brush just for starters to get that bake on dirt off then re-access.
  10. Just got my 2000 mostly stock banshee running after 4 years. This is what mods I have FMF fatties , some advance timing ( can't remember how much ) Cool head 20 cc, 4 yrs ago compression was 126. Vforce 3's, pro design air filter with air box cutout, cleaned stock 26mm carbs with longer needles ( CRS on brand ) 2nd notch from the top, 350 mains-plug color ok maybe a little dark. Slides are on the proper sides & in sync, choke tube in place. Here's the problem she starts fine no choke necessary. The left cylinder is not running (pipe stays cold) right cylinder runs good. If I pull the choke to the 1st notch the left cylinder fires up (pipe gets hot) and the right cylinder stops firing (mostly) shutting the choke off shuts down the left cylinder. There's plenty of spark on both sides. I have no ideas except maybe too rich main jet but, now I'm just drawing straws.
  11. Tks Fastbanshee8 for your reply they were both backed out 1.5 turns. Let me rephrase my question for more responses. What am I missing I've got one cylinder loading up with fuel that seems too rich on that side. When I throttle up the RPM's and jump off the throttle a pile of smoke dumps out the one exhaust pipe. Slides are in sync also, needle valves are on the same notched groove. What else could be off?
  12. I just turned 55 2 weeks ago & decided it was time to bring the Banshee out of a 4 year hiatus. I think the problem was there 5 years ago but I'm don't quite remember. Anyways, one pipe smokes more than the other during idle. The smoke dissipates as it warms up. Here's what I've done so far with no change, carbs cleaned everything looks good, needle jets, mains are the same as each other, floats are free floating. Spark is good both sides & tried swapping plugs and plug wires. Compression is the same on both sides and the slides are almost perfectly positioned to each other during idle ( smokey side might be .020 higher). One difference I did see when looking at the slide, on the smokey side, was condensation right on the slide, carbs are stock. The only thing I didn't check yet was the Vforce III reeds, one kick starts .Any ideas will be appreciated..
