LiftdT4R Posted October 12, 2006 Report Posted October 12, 2006 Hey, what's up? As far as the pipes, I coundt find anyone around here that would touch them unless they were brand new, somethign about contamination or something, I wound up sending mine out for a high temp powdercoat. Also, I plan to do my frame very son, but I have not had anything powdercoated locally. A buddy told me about http://www.autobodycontours.com/ they are located in Belford. I have not ahd any work done there, and no one I know has had work done there, I just know about it, hey, it's a lead at least. Good luck bro! Quote

But as someone had stated earlier shipping to and from the shop here might be more than the coating itself. If you can find a place closer, just ask a ton of questions, if they have the patience to answer them, and they seem to know what they are talking about. Give them a shot! Just make sure they plug the holes with threads, tape off bearing surfaces, some sort of bake off and sandblasting is included in the price. If you have other questions fee free to Pm me I will answer them if I can. Quote

The price was reasonable too. I know they are located on RT. 9 in Mayetta, across the street from a machine shop... I.D.M. Speed Machine. I can't recall the name but if you call I.D.M. they can give you the number for across the street. I think the name was Sign Pro. Not 100% correct though. I don't know if they do re-chroming, but as far as powdercoat they did a good job. Also you might wanna check on atvriders.com and talk to Pappy, he does a lot of powdercoating and is reasonable on pricing in my book, he even has a portfolio online of his work with plenty of vouches. Hopefully this helps you out. If it's any help I am going to be sending Pappy a frame or two in the near future. Quote
